12/12/2020 I married my childhood friend and he agreed to a Christmas wedding, knowing how much I love Christmas time. We escaped the downfall of humanity for one marvelous night in a local bed and breakfast, in our home town!

Color is amazing!

Alzheimer’s dims my memories, but pink brings them back. I’m Eleanor, 87, and some days I can’t recall my husband’s name, even though we’ve shared six decades together. Walter found a way to help—not with medicine, but with color. Pink has always been my favorite, so he dyed his hair blush, bought rose-colored shirts, even painted the handle of his old cane. Now, when my mind feels foggy, that bright pink reminds me of him before the words return. “It’s you,” I whisper, and he smiles like it’s the first time we’ve met all over again. Neighbors laugh gently at his bubblegum socks, but they know what it means. Pink is our lifeline, a thread linking me to the love I sometimes lose. Walter wears it every day to remind me: you’re never alone, not even in forgetting.
