Today I turn 45. 🎂❤️
And for the first time in my life, I can honestly say I love the woman I have become.
Not because everything in my life has been easy…
Not because I’ve always been confident…
And definitely not because I’ve always believed I was “enough.”
The truth is, for many years I struggled with low self-esteem. I tried to fit into rooms that were never meant for me. I wore versions of myself that made other people comfortable while quietly shrinking the woman I was becoming.
But somewhere along the way (especially in my 40s) I became brave enough to just be me.
And something beautiful happened when I did.
I stopped worrying about whether everyone in the room liked me…
because I finally liked myself.
I realized something that every woman deserves to know:
-If you feel like you don’t fit in… it may not be the right room.
-If your wardrobe no longer reflects who you’re becoming…you may have simply outgrown your old self.
-If relationships or even marriages make you feel small, invisible, or insignificant…you are allowed to walk away from anything that dims your light.
Yes, walking away can be hard.
Yes, the transition can feel lonely at first.
But on the other side of that courage, you often discover something powerful:
You were the prize the whole time.
I share this because I have lived it.
And now I want every woman I encounter to experience the same freedom.
The freedom to evolve.
The freedom to be sensual, brilliant, soft, powerful, ambitious, peaceful…whatever version of womanhood feels authentic to you.
This month especially reminds us of the strength of women everywhere, but the truth is celebrating women should start with celebrating ourselves.
So today, on my 45th birthday, I’m celebrating the woman I fought hard to become.
And if you’re reading this, I hope you celebrate yourself too.
Because the world doesn’t need you to shrink, blend in, or play small.
It needs you to rise, expand, and walk boldly as the woman you were always meant to be.
Cheers to growth.
Cheers to freedom.
