I am notorious for taking on insane color corrections and spending 10-12 hours on one head. It’s such a massive mix of emotions, first you’re motivated and excited, then you’re overwhelmed, then you’re anxious hoping it goes right and there are usually road blocks along the way, but in the end, it’s so satisfying and worth it.
Many many colorists will not take on these colors because they are BACKBREAKING work and HARD. There’s a huge margin of room for error, and requires massive patience from both the stylist and the client. It’s also not usually cost effective. In 12 hours you could fit in 9 clients and make more so why do I do these?! Because I enjoy the challenge.

Thank god for for the ability to take color correcting to a whole new level and really push the boundaries.
This is why I use to color hair; it’s gentle, effective, long lasting and predictable. For color correcting, it never lets me down.
