Hold the airbrush about six inches from your face. Use constant, small circular motion. Avoid staying in one position, horizontal movements, or vertical movements. If the airbrush is too close, there will be spots or patches. If it is too far, the coverage will be dotty.

Benefits of airbrush makeup:

One great thing about airbrush makeup is customizing colors right there. Create any shade, tone, hue.

Not as much brushes to use. Only one brush can be used for a complete look.

Not as many brushes to clean. Clean one airbrush after each use. Perform a deep cleaning, which involves dismantling the airbrush, at least once a month. Once a week is preferred to avoid products drying and clogging the airbrush.

More sanitary to use on multiple people.

Takes less time for a full face of makeup.

Dry time of applied products is less.

With the proper mixing medium, any foundation can be turned into airbrush makeup.

Airbrush makeup requires application of less product to cover entire face. A little goes a long way. Depending on brand and formulation, usually only five to ten drops are required to cover an entire face. One drop for both cheeks of blush. One drop for eyeliner and brows. One drop for eyeshadow. One drop for lipstick. Two to three drops for contour. Two to three drops for highlight.
