Can you believe all that hair was under there?!

My client hadn't had maintenance done in over a year! These microlocs were not my installation but were started as two-strand twists and braided at the root. We use interlocking for her reties.

This is a severe example of what happens without proper REGULAR maintenance. Microlocs and sisterlocs are prone to breakage when you wait too long between reties. Here, there was a lot of unraveling of the two-strands, as well as matting.

Realistically, life happens, and it doesn't take much for it to get away from us. There are solutions to get your locs back in good standings without having to always cut your hair off and start over. It may take some time, dedication, and patience, but it can be done!!
