Been reflecting on the past few years, balancing life and work it’s probably one of the biggest challenges most of us face on a day-to-day basis. I especially have struggled in this area.

To be transparent, I have felt the need to explain why I haven’t been active and why I’m not “hustling” or “going hard” for my business. I’ve even had clients ask me “are you still doing brows?”… all because I’m not consistently posting. While that question gave me a reality check it also made me sad at the same time. Why do I need to explain that I don’t want to record every part of my day, even though I’m always sitting behind that chair doing what I love to do and making clients feel their best. I think I say all of this because I’ve also noticed friends & fellow beautypreneurs have also been absent from social media and haven’t been as consistent & I know that I’m not the only one that feels this way. Not here to complain, but here to enlighten on a matter that I know most of a struggle was that many of us will never talk about.

I’ve been in this industry for over 12 years and so much has changed in that time. The expectation that has been curated around social media and businesses with staying in front of the phone 24/7 has become truly draining and exhausting, and it’s made what I love most not as enjoyable anymore.

Social media has been the best stage for my work and connection to clients. Whilst also been one of the biggest challenges and anxiety-filled duties that I have endured. I’ve taken many steps back from this platform, but I’ve been working behind the scenes to take bigger steps forward.

God, has blessed me with a business, clients, and opportunities that I will never take for granted. I will continue to work hard push forward and do my very best to balance all of the moving parts of this big machine we call life. That’s why I started this job in the first place that’s why I built a business in the first place…to simply do what I love. It was never to become a slave to the platforms that have been pushed on us.
