I want to hear some salon talk.. so I mixed up a toner for the blonde 👱🏼‍♀️ I WALKED away because I trusted my formulation.. only to rinse it off and realize how much I didn’t like 😭
What did I do?? I bleached washed her hair for a few minutes, enough to lift out the overtoned part & mixed
A whole new blonde formula.

This time what did I do??
I stood there watching it like a damn hawk in the sky lol I continued to massage into the hair.

Moral of the story.

I trusted myself the first time & I had faith in my abilities to fix my mistake 🥹🤞🏼

Let me tell you why “slow and steady” is the best for platinum hair.

Think of Developers as different modes of traveling by feet. You got walking, power walking, jogging and running. Answer me this.. if you knew you had to walk a mile, would you prefer to walk or run? (You’re going to arrive whichever way you choose) the difference here is that “walking” will not exhaust you as fast.

Now apply that same concept but with hair.

It’s better to slowly lift your hair because in the end the hair will feel much stronger. Although you do see immediate lift off with 30 & 40 volume it could cause lots of wear and tear from the beginning. & when you’re blonde it’s honestly best to assume that your blonde hair will get overlapped with lightener.

Now I’m not saying that you cannot use anything strong. There’s experienced stylist that have beautiful, healthy results. What I’m sharing is what I’ve gathered from 10+ years of doing hair.
