Ramona Update 💜 Week 3

It’s been three weeks since our girl Ramona’s accident — three weeks since everything changed. And somehow, she’s still smiling. Still cracking jokes. Still making us laugh and cry in the same breath.

Her most recent doctor visit brought some good news: no surgery needed (still!), and healing is going well. The pain is less intense, though daily bandage changes remain physically and emotionally triggering. She hasn’t been able to look at her fingertips yet — and honestly, can you blame her?

But here’s what she has been seeing: love. Growth. Power.

In her words, “The universe is a powerful bitch. And so is the human body.” 💫

Thanks to her wife (who deserves a crown of her own), and Ramona’s unshakable strength, she’s healing. Slowly. Bravely. Beautifully.

Now the hard part: doctors are estimating 8 to 12 more weeks of healing — without getting her fingers wet. After that, physical therapy. That means no behind-the-chair magic for a while. No income. No easy fix.

She’s trying to stay hopeful and explore temp options, but between pain, swelling, and the risk of infection, it’s complicated.

And that’s where we come in.

If you love Ramona — if you’ve sat in her chair, felt her energy, or simply want to lift up someone who’s carried so many — now’s the time. We’re still collecting gift cards, (grocery, gas, Target, etc.) Venmo

https://venmo.com/u/ryolivas23

and monetary donations through the salon to help her stay afloat during this healing stretch.

Because Ramona may be carrying a heavy backpack, but dammit, she’s carrying it. And we’re walking with her. 💪

Our Girl Ramona 💖 Update Time!

This radiant smile belongs to our brave stylist Ramona, who — in her words — “10/10 don’t recommend sticking your hand in a lawnmower for a vacation.” 😅

She suffered a traumatic amputation to the tips of her first and second fingers. No surgery is needed (thank the hair gods), but the healing journey includes weekly specialist visits, daily bandage changes, and pain she describes as *the worst she’s ever experienced.*

She’s keeping her sense of humor through the tears — even after her wife told her, “I can still see your bones.” 😭 (She meant it with love.)

Ramona’s not just a stylist — she’s a light, a laugh, and a lover of all things glam and gritty. And right now, she could use her community. We’re still collecting gift cards (grocery, gas, Target — anything helps!) venmo https://venmo.com/u/ryolivas23 and direct support at the salon to get her through a few more weeks of recovery.

Let’s show her that when one of us hurts, we all step up.

🌼 Help Us Support
Ramona Olivas-Rounds While She Heals 🌼
Our salon family was shaken this week when our beloved Ramona had a serious accident and lost parts of her fingertips in a lawnmower mishap. She’s expected to be out for 1 to 2 weeks — and as many of you know, in this industry, if we’re not behind the chair, we don’t get paid.
Ramona is a light in our space — talented, loving, and someone who makes people feel seen and beautiful. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.

💛 How You Can Help:
– Send love (and funds) via [Venmo/ https://venmo.com/u/ryolivas23
– Drop off gift cards or healing notes at Hair Lovin
– Share this post — community support means everything

Let’s wrap her in love and remind her she’s not alone. Healing is hard — but it’s easier with your people behind you.

With love,
Your Hair Lovin family ✂️💕
