Being an immigrant has shaped me in more ways than I ever imagined.

When I moved to Florida in 2010, I came searching for better opportunities. I thought I was simply chasing a better future.

What I didn’t know was that this country would give me so much more.

A place I could finally call home.
A business that started as a dream and became my purpose.
The chance to become a mom and build a life that gives my son opportunities I once only hoped for.
And one of the hardest, yet most beautiful lessons of all - learning how to live far away from my family while finding people who became family by choice.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. There have been moments of loneliness, uncertainty, and starting over. But every challenge has shaped the woman I am today.

Today, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be an immigrant in this country while always remaining a proud Ecuadorian. My roots will forever be part of who I am, and this country has given me the space to build the life I once dreamed of.

The other day, I stopped by the studio for just a couple of hours. A few years ago, that would have made me uncomfortable.

I used to believe that every open spot on my calendar needed to be filled. That if I wasn’t working, producing, or growing, I was somehow falling behind.

But this summer feels different.

My son is home from school, growing up faster than I can keep up with, and I’ve realized something: these moments are limited.

The clients will come, the opportunities will come, the goals will still be there, But this version of him won’t.

Some days, I still feel the pull between the entrepreneur in me and the mom in me.

One wants to maximize every opportunity.
The other wants to stay a little longer at the beach, say yes to an afternoon adventure, and soak in the laughter that won’t last forever.

I’m learning that success isn’t just measured by revenue, booked appointments, or how busy I am.

It’s measured by the life I’m creating.
