This client came to me wanting a more natural-looking hairline. Years ago, she experienced hair loss from pulling at her brows/hairline and was hoping to recreate the illusion of fullness.

Unfortunately, a previous service left her with thick, harsh strokes at the front of the hairline that healed grayish/blue and sat too far onto the forehead — which is not how scalp or hairline work should heal.

👉 What I did today:
• Neutralized the unwanted cool/blue tones using a corrective pigment
• Softly shaded the area instead of adding harsh strokes
• Blended a warm brown tone that closely matches her natural hair color
• Focused on diffusion, softness, and realism — not hard lines

The goal was to create a natural shadow effect that mimics hair density, not individual “cuts” or strokes. Hairlines should melt into the skin, not stop abruptly.

This is why proper technique, pigment choice, choosing of the artist and understanding skin undertones matter so much in permanent makeup and scalp work.
