I could cry. Actually, I am crying. I finally feel like I am doing something right to be surrounded by such a phenomenally talented team that is so kind and keeps me laughing. I have always tried, but I haven’t always been a “good salon owner,” whether I was receiving bad advice, letting my fear lead, being too stringent, and then there was that time when I was in my ultra religious phase 🥴… (still ❤️ Jesus tho 💯)… in fact, I’m sure I’m not doing it the best way even now and I have much more to learn. However, the last couple of years I have become more resilient, more self aware, and more attuned to the stylists I have the privilege of serving everyday. Yes I have my guests I treasure behind the chair, but these souls that entrust their career to me everyday is where I find my purpose. I am currently challenging myself to live in the present only, and today is a good day. I’m actually not one to clap for myself and I never feel like I achieved anything (even though in the totality of my life, I’ve overcome so much). But my brain is always focusing on the next project and next mountain to climb. But. Today I’m actually taking my time in reflecting and I am filled with so much gratitude, so much. 😭❤️

Thankfully, I still wake up ready to embrace all the good the day can bring me. Eapecially when I start at 7 am. 🤪🤭
