For those of you who may not know .. thought you might enjoy knowing some great history on the company 😍

What a celebration TODAY, FRIDAY THE 13TH will be- Over the past few months, to read about long standing companies that have closed their doors- and their sales force wakes up to an e-mail that lets them know that they have filed bankruptcy- and they will not get the commissions that they depend on- it makes me ALL THE MORE GRATEFUL That Mary Kay had the foresight to REMAIN A privately HELD COMPANY- At one time we were public- and had been the darling of wall street on the Stock market- we split 3 times in a 2 ½ year period of time- I don’t know if you were aware of that- I bought stock back then- and here’s what happened- When you are a publicly held company you are under of Board of Directors who control what you do, when you do it, how you do it- etc- and after a short period of time- Mary Kay commented was tired of the Board of directors tell her what she could do, when to do it etc…..that she wanted her dream back- she wanted the company to go back to being privately held. So she and Richard (her son) went to the bank and borrowed $384 MILLION and bought back the company- they did a leveraged buyout that got paid off 2 years before it was supposed to be paid- what does that say? It’s a DEBT FREE COMPANY-we don’t owe anything to anyone-It’s privately held-family owned- and hopefully you saw the video where the reins of the company were turned over to Ryan Rogers to be President- and THAT’S WHAT MARY KAY’S DREAM WAS ………… So as Paul Harvey would say- Now you know the rest of the story🌹
