Now this person is really missing his hairdresser. If the heads of state had to look at that head of hair for very long they would of put Hairdresser definitely on the essential list. I think this has all been hard for everyone. I would like to thank my guests that sent me a check for their missed appointments. No I did not charge them for canceling at the last minute or for a no show. Honestly I have wonderful guest. I would like to thank everyone’s guest that have sent checks to their hairdressers, barbers, nail technician. Most of us are sole proprietor, Independant contractors, chair rentals, we all have to keep paying rent, leases, utilities, insurance on ourselves and our business. It it very difficult for those who are single with kids as those who are young and just starting out. It’s hard on the Owners of salons who are all chair rental. They are still consider independent contractors . If you have ever wanted to pay something forward ask yourself who could I help. If you could help save a person that’s business is shut down or his employees out of work because of the COVID-19. I think you might stop and ask yourself maybe I could help that person with paying for one haircut I missed . Maybe paying it forward to help them keep afloat until this is over.Every little bit helps. I am very fortunate that I have worked for years and don’t have little ones at home and a lot of bills. Believe I have enough bills and am very great full that I am where I am in my life. With our government having to over haul our unemployment system independent workers are not going to be able to file right away . We have file but it say we will get 0. They say maybe another 3 weeks for us. We won’t be receiving anything in the near future. If you have file your taxes and don’t have a routing number attached you will not be receiving a stimulus check for a while. Probably after it is all over without might start to get it. Lots of places might have to close or might be hanging on by threads . So i have been ask if I had a underground salon , am I doing hair. The gal that asked me was kidding of course but deep down she real would of loved for me to say yes as much as I would love to come and do everyone of my guest but I can’t. It is against the law. They have caught some hairdressers I was told and they received a $500 fine and license revoked for 2 years. It is not worth it. We are trying to social distancing our selves so we can prevent the spread of COVID -19 and saves life’s. I believe everyone here is doing it. We have to hang on and pray that just maybe different parts of the country can slowly open up. Just maybe with a lot of prayers it can happen for us. So if you are not financially affected you might think of those who have not had a pay check going on 4 weeks Saturday March 21 . Not only hair salons are struggling there are lots of independent contractors in many professions. So some salons / businesses shut down at the beginning of the week. March 21 . I stay open until Saturday calling anyone who wanted in before it all starts. Half of my guest canceled and I got calls from guest that were booked a week out. I work so hard to get everyone one in. I sat hours waiting until someone got off work. I left no one behind. That’s what we do as hairdresser take care of the guest. I know I work 8 to 10 hours a day. I use to work 10 to 14 hours a day to build my clientele base. To old for that now. It’s the same way in every service industry business. So I am not doing this for me I will survive. We all will survive COVID-19. Only if we can just help out our own that are struggling to stay afloat and pay it forward if you can. The world will be a much prettier and better place. It is going to be crazy when we get to go back to work . Everyone must have a little bit of patience because it is going to be a crazy ride. We will still have do do a little bit of social distancing. It would not be wise to over book. I will work 7 days a week but I do not want to over crowd my salon. Before I closed my doors I spaced my salon chairs and dryers 6 ft. Apart and ask know one to come if they were sick or have traveled in past weeks. I will continue to do this when I open to insure the safety of my guest. For the people that think I am over reacting I’m not. I want to do live bodies not the ones in the morgue. Now on a liter subject. Believe me boyfriends , husbands, dads, wife’s , mom’s and girlfriend’s when I say everyone will be in a better and prettier when hairdressers can so back to work. I really am serious. For real let us all remember everyone that took part in protecting us , feeding us and caring for us . It takes a community to come together to make us who we are SAVIORS and we are strong . We will see you when the shut in orders are up and it is safe to resume our normal life’s. What is normal after this? Love to all of my guest you are the best

We all need a reminder from time to time how important it is to be kind to everyone. Smile at that coworker who is not smiling today who knows what they could be going through. You could be the one that turns their day around. We all need to be a little kinder to everyone.

No matter what profession you choose this will always apply to your success.
