Hello! 👋🏻
I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Cathryn, I’m the massage therapist at Earth2Massage, in Peoria. I went to school in Tacoma, Washington where I first got licensed. That’s where I learned/ started to specialize in Swedish massage, prenatal, and tender/ trigger point work.
I moved to Illinois because I was born here and most of my family is here. I am married with two children and consider myself pretty family oriented.
I just recently opened my own business here and am excited to meet the people of Peoria!

I found out today I have been having phone troubles since Wednesday if you texted and I didn’t respond PLEASE call me at 309-686-1056. It appears it was texts from people who’s carrier is NOT Verizon. I believe it’s fixed now.

Attention Clients, friends and family! I am very excited to get back in the salon next week! In order to do so there are some new regulations put in place. Please don’t come in if you are not feeling well, it’s better to be safe than sorry. I have some family members with compromised immune systems and will ask you to reschedule. The state is allowing us to blow dry I will be limiting the blow drying to keep from over heating. Wow, those masks are hot and it will take some time adjust to this. There are some service I will be unable to provide for the foreseeable future. Please if you do need to cancel an appointment I ask for 24 hours notice (unless it just comes on). I am simply asking for notice because I will be able to fill your appointment time due to the amount of people that would love to have It😁! I am so ready to see all of you and hear all about you and your families!! There is a lot I need to do between appointments I ask that you be as punctual as you can and have understanding If I get a little behind Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all navigate these new regulations.

I have switched to a new appointment system you will be receiving your appointment information from square appointments. It’s not a marketing message it’s a lifesaver! Also if I do not have your most up to do information such as phone, email and address please message me as I have been updating records.

I am in the process of setting up a new calendar system which will automatically send text reminders for me. I wanted hop on here and let you know you will receive a text message from Square appointments stating your appointment has been accepted with the date and time. If you need to change or cancel an appointment please do not respond to that message, please call or text me at 309-686-1056. Hello Friends,
As you may already be aware the governor is following the national order and extending the “shelter in place” through April 30th. (Unless extended longer) Which means it’s mandatory that salons are not allowed to reopen until the “shelter in place” is lifted. If you have an appointment that is scheduled prior to April 30th I will be contacting you in the next few days regarding your appointment. I am just as bummed as you are I miss each and every one of you more than you know. However we all need to do our part to help quickly put an end to this pandemic. I am eager to get back in the salon and take care of your needs.
If you have an appointment after April 30th it will be unaffected, I ask for your patience and understanding as I am trying to adjust my schedule. I will work as much as I can to get you in as quick as I can. Thank you for your continued support as I know this is difficult for all of us.

26 more coronavirus deaths in Illinois with Pritzker set to extend stay-at-home order through April There are now 99 fatalities in the state due to the coronavirus outbreak, health officials said.

Unfortunately due to the governors decision to enact shelter-in-place Above & Beyond Hair will be temporarily closed, just as all salons in the state of Illinois are now required to do. 😢

The governor has set this to start Saturday, March 21st at 5 PM through April 7th or possibly longer depending on the outcome of this virus. It is very unfortunate but I believe it is the right decision because I want us, all of our guests and their families to remain safe. So at this time we will be canceling all appointments, I will be in contact with everyone to reschedule or feel free to contact me. This is going to take some time so please be patient with me.

I will plan on scheduling after the 7th of April unfortunately if this shelter-in-place goes longer we will again reschedule. If I had mentioned my upcoming surgical procedure that has been postponed as well. Please look for a phone call from me also, stay safe and enjoy the time with your family. As much as we hate to be told to stay home we need take this time to be with the ones we love and enjoy the small things.🥰

Please keep in mind during this time if you need a product contact me at 309-686-1056 and I will arrange to get it to you or ship it to you whichever you feel more comfortable with. Keep in mind I only use professional product- they are not store-bought products nor do I recommend you use a store-bought product and mix it with a professional product. In other words if your hair has been professionally colored I strongly recommended you do not go and use store-bought products, This includes color, shampoos and conditioners and styling aids. As you all know I am a small business owner and being forced to close means I will not have income coming in so if you need products or would like to purchase gift certificates I can accept payments over the phone or online and we can ship your products or gift certificates to you for free. Which means you won’t have to leave your home during this time.

I plan to use this time to further my education and spend time with my family. I will surely miss seeing each and every one of you and I’m looking forward to seeing you soon. ******If you have an emergent situation please don’t hesitate to contact me and we will see what we can figure out. *******You all are part of my family and as much as this upsets me I rather see us all stay safe. Hello Everyone,
We are all stuck in the middle of these changes right now and the reason for this message is to make you feel more comfortable not scared. I know the news and procedures are changing rapidly so I wanted to take a moment to update you on what’s happening at Above & Beyond Hair. I will remain open with business as usual until I am advised by local or government officials not to be.

I have strict sanitation and safety guidelines in place as we always have had. These standards are set by the state licensing board and I use hospital grade disinfectant on all tools & equipment after each use, also my hands are washed before & after each client. I have hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes in my studio for your use.

Obviously if you are feeling ill please contact me and we can reschedule your appointment for when you are feeling better without any issues. If you decide to postpone or change your appointment please do so as soon as possible so I can adjust my schedule, please don’t assume I will know that you are canceling and not show up.

We are also going to try to abide by the social distancing rule that the CDC has instructed by not having too many people waiting at one time or too close to each other which is not normally a problem in our salon. As I try to keep people spaced apart and try to stay on a schedule again, this is why it is very important for you to contact me if you feel that you are going to be missing or late for your appointment.

I want to Thank You for your continued support of my small business and know that I will take every precaution as your safety and health is our number one concern and always has been. I look forward to visiting with you and helping you to relieve stress during this difficult time. I know we are all trying to navigate through these strange circumstances but, together we will make it.
