Andrew is a bar guy through and through. When Andrew was in hospitality he was in charge of 20+ bars. Ranging from neighborhood dives to limited seating Japanese style whiskey tasting rooms. And all of those bars had epic merch. Andrew may not be slinging drinks, chatting bar regulars up, or running a huge company, he is still throwing out bad ass merch, chatting up Pilates newbies and seasoned practitioners and getting up much earlier to do it. You’ve met all our teachers, stay tuned for a get to know Andrew soon!

A question we get asked a lot! What is the difference between Fundamentals and Mixed Level? In reality, if you at least know the equipment and can transition quickly and also know your body you can take either.

Fundamentals: This class focuses heavily on skill and form. The transitions are less quick than Mixed Level, but I promise it’s still a workout. It’s ideal if you’re a total beginner, coming back from an injury, or just want to master the basics. We still offer layers to the movements, but they don't progress as far.
We require 5 of these classes before you can move up to Mixed Level. That said, there's no rush to switch over just because you hit that number. A lot of our members choose to stay in Fundamentals for a while because they find it challenging enough and want to keep dialing in their technique.

Mixed Level: It’s open to everyone. Including beginners. The main difference from Fundamentals is the tempo. Because we move at a quicker pace, you just need to be comfortable adjusting your own equipment efficiently. From there, every exercise offers layers. We provide the advanced variations, and we trust you to decide whether to hold steady or push a little further today.

We can't say enough nice things about Mariah. She exudes this light and positivity when she walks in the studio. She's always someone I know I can stick a nervous, newbie next to. She is able to chat them up and make them feel like they too belong here. Thank you, Mariah. We are so lucky to have you as a member of Monument.

After that epic 4th of July mat class and fundraiser, Andrew, Hazel, Waylon and I hung around the studio and added some more personal touches. The inside of the boxes have always been something that never really bothered me, but at the same time I didn’t love looking at the inside. Reformer sitting boxes, I’d like to introduce you to wallpaper samples. These were a pain in the ass but I think turned out well. Don’t look too closely to the white and blue ones! I’ve been slowly getting these vintage mirrors off of Facebook market place. We still need more but now we have some mirrors for those who want to see themselves. But it shouldn’t be so intense that those who’d rather be inside their bodies don’t have to use them. Shout out to Andrew for doing all the heavy lifting and drilling while I bossed him around. We’re not done. But building your favorite Pilates studio takes time. Stay tuned.

We're back with a Monday Monument Mic Drop.

Here is Amber. She is a hardworking Mom and a full time teacher. She has a lot on her plate. But she makes time for her weekly Pilates. We celebrated her birthday here recently with a a studio buy out. We will always root for Amber, it's easy to do.

We pull all our reviews from either Google or Wellness Living. They all come from our Members. There is no one better to ask what we're all about than our Members. They've dedicated their money and time to us. We work hard to make sure it is worth it.

Tower Week is back y'all. Why do we do Tower Week? We've got a few reasons. It is a labor of love to change these beautiful reformers over to beautiful towers. But also, you don't get better at something unless you really practice it. A lot of y'all get to visit the Tower multiple times in one week. You get to know it a little better. It's been really amazing to see how much stronger everyone has gotten since we first started Tower Week. Those springs are heavy, I know! But y'all crush it every month.

The Monument Mic Drop. No fluff, no filters. Just straight-up facts from the people who put in the work.

"I have never once dreaded showing up. Every class has a fresh routine so it never gets boring and the studio is so clean and bright, the vibe alone makes you want to come back. The instructors are amazing too. They actually talk to you with intention, no filler, no fluff, just clear cues that keep you locked in and feeling supported the whole time.

There is so much heart in this place and you all have truly created something special. Thank you for making every class something to look forward to!" -Karina R
