An institution at Flyers games since 1972! Operated by Andrew Mantzas. Lou Nolan has been the Flyers PA Announcer since 1972. Become a fan, and LET'S GO FLYERS!

In his long tenure calling Flyers home games, he has doled out official information during 8 different Stanley Cup Finals, 2 NHL All-Star Games, the 2002 Winter Olympics, the 2014 NHL Draft, and the 2014 NCAA Frozen Four, and the legendary friendly against the Soviet Red Army in 1976. In 1996, when the Flyers moved from the Spectrum, to their current home, the Wells Fargo Center, Lou came with the

Also, as a PA Announcer fan account, let's wish a Happy Retirement to the other man who works the Xfinity Mobile Arena PA mic, the 76ers Matt Cord, who for all but one season since 1997 did the job for the Sixers! Congratulations!

I don't think Lou would mind me saying on behalf of all of us, great season boys! I know I, your moderator am so proud! Playoff hockey returned to our area this year, somewhat unexpectedly, and it was pretty good! Still have work to do, but we should all be proud! LET'S GO FLYERS!

Another great Home Opener for Lou! This one meant a little more as Lou read the Bernie tribute. Great job Lou, and great job Flyers!

Couple things, Lou nation! Next season, the Wells Fargo Center becomes Xfinity Mobile Arena, 5th and should be final name. Lou has now hit 53 years as our PA Announcer. And boy did our Flyers get hosed last night, first in the Draft Lottery, and then Michkov not even NOMINATED for the Calder despite scoring the most goals among rookies!

Lou nation. I've received a message from someone claiming to be from Meta, and I'm about 50-50 on whether or not it's real. It's pretty convincing but also a bit shady. They say our page here infringes upon their intellectual property, and the page is scheduled for deletion. If this ends up happening, I will start a new page, and I guess I'll be stuck building it back up. Thanks, Andrew.

Lou nation, as we are a page to celebrate and continue to support a legendary NHL PA Announcer, indulge me in a tribute to another. RIP Paul Morris(1938-2025)(86). Paul Morris was the Toronto Maple Leafs PA Announcer from 1961-1999. He was the voice of the last 38 years at Maple Leaf Gardens, and the first few months at what opened as the Air Canada Centre. He was also the Maple Leaf Gardens sound engineer. Ironically, when he retired in 1999, he was succeeded by Andy Frost, the father of the up until recently Flyers center Morgan Frost. RIP Paul Morris

Dear Lou nation, I call upon you to send your well wishes to Lou's counterpart in DC! Washington Capitals PA Announcer Wes Johnson has been their PA Announcer since 2000, and he recently suffered a significant medical event. He's out of a coma, and now back home, but still faces a long road. Wes supported our Lou petition, and is a friend of this page. You can donate to his gofundme here:
