Life Lesson Learned

When God pivots your plans, your faith must remind you that He’s always working behind the scenes. He sees what you cannot see, knows what you do not know, and understands exactly what you need.

Don’t become anxious about the shift. Don’t try to force what God has intentionally redirected. Sometimes the detour is the blessing.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.

On behalf of the Need to Feed Community Dinner, we want to personally thank each and every one of our volunteers.
You all showed up with so much love, dedication, and willingness to serve. Because of you, this event became everything we dreamed it could be. Deneen and I are beyond grateful for the hard work, teamwork, and positive spirit you brought into the room. It was truly a beautiful sight to witness.

We always remind people that the “why” behind Need to Feed is not only about feeding the homeless — it’s about feeding people, period. It’s about giving others a space during the holidays where they don’t have to feel alone.

One guest shared with us that her husband was out of town, and she had three different places she could have gone for a Thanksgiving meal — but she chose to come to us. She told us she simply didn’t want to spend the holiday alone, and she left feeling blessed.
THAT is the purpose behind what we do.

There was also a family who sat together the entire time, and their presence said more than words ever could. Moments like these are why this event matters.

But the truth is: none of this could have happened without each of you.
Everyone who donated money, supplies, food, or helped cook — thank you. Everyone who showed up to serve — thank you. The chemistry in the room was incredible, and every single person who walked through those doors felt welcomed and cared for.
I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU, to Deneen’s husband Rick for all the deliveries that day! Rick because of you we were able to feed more people.

We want to take this moment to say, from the bottom of our hearts:
Thank you so, so much for giving your time, your energy, and your love.
