This represents all the late nights after a three, and sometimes four – day, school schedule, time missed with my grandbabies Taj and Rya – as well as my son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Chiffon, for the months away from my church family, Dare To Imagine, and the time and sacrifices, made within my marriage by my beloved Kevin (and made with patients and unadulterated love and support). I’m in tears, as I sit here, just staring at this license, wishing so much I could drive to my parents’ home and show them, even though they know. Alison and Deborah , thanks for being my cheerleading section. And to the baddest, most passionate and dedicated instructors at QUEEN BEAUTY INSTITUTE, thank YOU for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. And finally, to my youngest bonus baby, Kyra, I thank you for not only demonstrating your support day in and day out, but being so eager to share in my dream of creating something that, with more hard work, and more focus, and more beyond my lifetime. Grandma and grandpa Echols, there’s going to be another entrepreneur in the family! The black-and-white photo I have of the two of you in the family market will be hung on the wall in the front of my future shop as a reminder to me and notice to all who come and go that this all began with you.
