Who said you can’t have a balayage with shorter hair?!

My client was rocking the natural life but needed a little pick me up. A balayage was the perfect touch for her! It gave her just that kiss of brightness without being too high maintenance.

Reds, they are TOUGH, but if you give them a lottle (actually just a LOT) of love they’ll be gorgeous.

A few steps are missing from this because Facebook doesn’t like mixing videos and photos, but this last time was her 4th glossing of red to get it to look just right!

Also, how are we liking Willo & Root’s vibe? GOR-GEOUS. Loving my new salon home 🥰

I was going to write a big long post about all the trials my family and I endured and all the wonderful things that happened too, but I’ll keep it short. Haha

This was by far the absolute hardest year of my life. But, I got to watch my baby grow into a little girl and we added another little babe into our family 💕

I met some of the most amazing women during this time and I couldn’t be more grateful for them. I also had the most amazing instructors that taught me SO much about hair, business, and life. I’ve never been in a more supportive environment and I miss it so much already!

When she came in she had a one length cut that had hardly any movement. We gave her a TOTAL TRANSFORMATION with gorgeous layers, volume, and so much movement!! She was glowing when we took that cape off!!

Would you believe me if I told you this was a happy accident? I was trying to formulate a strawberry/rose gold BLONDE, yet here we are. I’m thinking Miss Annie will look super cute with [newly reformulated] rose gold highlights!

😱From “no, not BOX!!!!” to “flamin’ HOT” 🔥

As you can see, we were so excited to get started on her transformation that we FORGOT THE DANG BEFORE PICTURE.

Coming out of box color is a totally unique and individualistic journey for Every. Single. Person. It can take months or even years to get fully out of it! It’s always best to listen to the hair and respect what it’s asking for. Luckily, Jenna’s hair was asking for the same thing as her. We went slow and steady, she lifted gorgeously, and boom, RED BALAYAGE. We ❤️ it!!

And would you believe this is all Demi-perm color?? It’s not going to fade out pink like semi-perm and it’s going to hold onto her hair wonderfully!!

Never in a million years would I have believed that I’d meet one of my best friends in cosmetology school- but I did 💕 you were the first “mommy friend” I met as an adult and I’m so happy you came into my life. I’ll never forget our first day and how ecstatic you were to FINALLY be going to cosmetology school. I knew you were going to be a keeper then, but I didn’t know how much of a true and genuine friend you would be to me. I love you so much my dear friend 💕💕💕

Emily, you put God and your family above all else, you managed to get through 1,600 hours in school, you are truly a hair artist, and you are such a blessing to everyone who has the pleasure of meeting you. HOLY MOLY, YOU FREAKING DID IT.

🤱🏻 How did we make her into a more manageable blonde as a mom to a 5 month old?

We toned down her highlights so that as her hair grows, she has no funky lines if she goes months without an appointment. She now primarily has a balayage that we will gloss every 8 weeks. Glossing is an express service that’s done in an hour! A little bit of ~alone time~ while not being away from the babies for too long 🥰

To help cut down her morning routine, we cut off TWELVE INCHES of her hair. She’s loving how much easier and more manageable her layered, shorter haircut is! You can see us chopping it off in my Reels!
