When your app and other sources say one date, but your favorite author and other sources say the next day... you go with both dates...or, at least, I do. ❤

Our first New Moon for 2021 is tonight. ❤ I'm giddy with excitement!

I'm not an early bird..wait, yes I am.

I trained my kids to be night owls when they were babies. We would sleep in and stay up late together. We have always needed at least 10 hrs of sleep.

Shifting to homeschool made A LOT of things shift...biggest being my routine. With kids home all.of.the.time, having to be diligent with school hours and being a work from home mom, my time flew out the window. The first thing to go with it, was my self-care. (It didn't help that gyms were closed too.)

I don't even remember when I did my first early morning. But suddenly I found time again. It was quiet again. I could think and function uninterrupted. It was amazing! I still gave myself 2 days a week to sleep in, until I started waking up before my alarm.

So after 40 years of being a night owl, I've been awakened to the awesomeness of mornings. I rise and charge with the sun. ☀

Signs of life.

My oldest is learning how to drive. My middle is the age I was when I met my husband. My youngest is entering his last single digit age, tomorrow. When they were babies, I was warned multiple times how fast they'd grown up. It's impossible to wrap your brain around those words, until you've blinked too much and you're babies are no longer babies.

Do the messes stress out? 100%!! Do I also know that my days with the messes are in limited numbers? 100%!! This morning I was grateful to put the toilet seat down and have to flush the leftover p*e. To pickup the damp bath mat and close the shower curtain. And to see the mess on the counter.

Today is the youngest we will ever be again, for tomorrow we will be a day older.

First read for 2021.

Thanks to discovering audible books, I've picked my passion for reading up again. I finished over 20 books last year!! But nothing beats the smell, feel and visualizing of a physical book. ❤
