My birthday was May 28, and just five days later I was on the phone with my auntie. She was so excited about coming to California , getting her eyelashes done and eating good food with my grandpa to spend the holidays with all of us. We laughed, talked, and made plans . I just didn’t know that would be our last conversation ❤️

On June 15, she was called home unexpectedly. It completely broke my heart. Without a damn doubt, my family and I flew to Houston, Texas to be together and celebrate her life. While we were there, I had the honor of doing my auntie’s lashes before she was laid to rest. I never done anything like that before, and I was scared, nervous, anxious, and nauseous. But I’d do anything for my family, and it meant everything to me to give her that final act of love.

I just can’t believe this is how I had to say goodbye. I was supposed to be welcoming you to California, not laying you to rest. I love you so much, Auntie. Thank you for being you and keeping a smile on everyone’s face , until we meet again. 🤍🕊️
