Despite what you may have heard, heat doesn’t have to be your hair’s worst enemy.
If you follow these simple maintenance tips, you can prevent heat damage — and avoid costly repair treatments💰
Our first tip is to use a heat protectant!
Without proper protection, your hair will dry out and break over time.
Your best bet is to invest in a protective serum or spray before you put the heat to your hair. This will create a barrier over your open hair shaft and prevent any heat damage.
Next, make sure you keep your heat tools on a low setting.
Blow dryers and flat irons are fantastic styling tools — if you use them properly. Using them too often and at too high of a heat setting will cause extensive damage.
Most hair types do well with a setting between 150 and 200 degrees, so drop the heat down to save your strands ;)
Lastly, schedule regular appointments with a professional stylist.
Ideally, you’ll visit your hairstylist once every six to eight weeks. But if you can’t go that often, we recommend a minimum of four visits per year.

As hair care connoisseurs, one question we’re often asked is:
What’s the difference between real and synthetic hair extensions?
And it’s a fair question!
The main differences between the two are composition, aesthetic, and quality.
The main benefit of real extensions is that they are made of human hair, so they blend smoothly and look natural.
They are, however, the more expensive option when it comes to extensions.
Synthetic extensions, on the other hand, are made of blended synthetic fibers.
This means that they’re cheaper, but only last a few months.
Additionally, synthetic extensions tend to feel stiff and move differently than real human hair, so they won’t blend as smoothly.
Lastly, synthetic extensions cannot tolerate much heat, so you can’t style them in the same way you would your natural hair.
If you’re thinking about investing in hair extensions, it’s best to research your options so you can reach an informed decision.
No matter which option you go with, we’re always here to support you – just shoot us a message or give us a call if you need a hand :)
