A lot of the safety, performance, irritation/allergy, stability, and formulation work happens in Mary Kay’s own research and development facilities under their scientists’ supervision before any external testing.

After in-house testing, Mary Kay’s skincare undergoes clinical testing with independent, board-certified dermatologists, ophthalmologists, and other medical experts in independent laboratories where volunteers use products under supervised evaluation.
