He was born in New Zealand and moved to Idaho when he was in high school. He graduated top of his class from Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy in 2010. Prior to joining the team at Gilded Opal Hair Salon, Mat spent 8 years in a NW based shop as a senior stylist, as well as a shop manager, specializing in fierce fashion color and in style hair cuts. I’m officially moving from Portland to Gold Beach, Oregon! 🌊🌲
My last day doing hair in PDX is June 13th — after that, I’ll be back once a month (around mid-month) to take clients. ✂️💇♀️💇♂️
