Wigs for theater, character creation, drag, cosplay and everyday wear

Beginning to get some photos shared from weddings 2025 and this one was a fave! The inspiration here was early '60's but not too dated, with some contemporary shape, á la Lana del Rey and Priscilla Presley. A classic winged liner, and barely pink lip ~

Fun Fact: Raylin's favorite band is Fall Out Boy and her husband proposed to her at their concert! They're so in love, and outrageously adorable 🍭

The party host sat cordially while I sculpted her hair into this 1940's inspired coif ✨Her mother poured us a taste of plum brandy, Slivovica, and we dished about fashion, lovers, tradition and music.
I want to do styles like this again and again! Call on me to groom your beautiful head and you'll leave a lasting impression at any party🥂

A special commission requested by for her Princess Fiona drag number!

I may have fancified her, just a little bit ;) Having done a thousand Elsa wigs and Rapunzel braids back in my Disney days, my hands blended elements of those looks with the etched bangs and intricate braiding. Add ears though, and she's pure Fiona!

A fresh cut for Beywen 🍋‍🟩 In 2023 she found me, with a goal of building a collection of human hair wigs as her daily wearers. Since then, we've created a turnstyle of 6 looks, all custom colored and tailored by me, something for every occasion to reflect Beywens personal style. These wigs were an investment, but could easily last her 20 years-I offered a hands on lesson on how to properly wash, brush and store the wigs and she took me up on that; Only top of the line products for human hair, which on a wig, notoriously gets drier over time (we love ) + She comes in every three months or so for a deep condition and professional restyle on her most worn wigs to help maintain the health of the hair. And starting with length like these ones shown here means she has the option to change the shape many times and even one day rock a pixie cut!
All to say, I'm having so much and I think this is a great example of taking care of yours wig and your self 🩵

In the span of my career I've done this look hundreds of times. There's a formula to it that never fails, yet slight differences occur in the curl pattern which gives each one a distinction.
This one will be worn tomorrow, by a woman who has spent years acquiring special pieces for an early 1900's style costume. The wig always seems to be the cherry on top, the last thing one acquires in looks like these. But once they have it, it's obvious they perhaps should have BEGAN with the hair.
One of my teachers in the Disneyland wig room pointed out, "Cinderella could walk out onto set with her costume on, but if the actor had her natural hair down, everyone would think she's just a guest in the park with a really nice dress. It's when the wig is placed and done perfectly that she becomes the character and is recognized as such.

“This is the most beautiful I’ve ever felt”

Jo revealed as we walked down Yamhill St, on our way back to the studio from this photo shoot. She's leaving town for a while on April 1st  and made sure to book a haircut with me a few days before departure to have a fresh trim for her trip. I knew this would be the last time I'd see her in almost a year, so I began to think about how I might gather more of her time this day beyond the haircut. Dinner came to mind, of course, but then the ever lingering thought of creating beauty with my friends rolled in. I called her. "How about we do A LOOK?"

She knows what I mean when I say this. I want to design a hairstyle-you choose an outfit that speaks to it, and then we'll bring in the camera. "Yes, let's do it! And then maybe dinner?" she lovingly suggested.

My heart sang. From that moment on I thought about this look everyday. I'd discovered a painter & fashion designer from the ‘30s, Sonia Delaunay, through some online portal and became immersed in her shapes and colors. When I mentioned this to Jo, she told me she'd just been lent a book on Sonia’s work! We FaceTimed and flipped through the pages. The voluptuous shapes of the hair, alongside mosaic like angles of the dress in the paintings had us swooning. I began to sketch ideas for a hairstyle; Jo commissioned Ruby to design a dress. We spoke on our favorite elements, considered our direction. What began as an echoing synchronicity slowly brewed into a playful concoction between us three.

I'm going to miss Jo while she's away. She reminds me to focus, and hone my creativity with reflection and discipline. She speaks to the Earth in a familiar language. I'll remain here, patient and dancing. This won't be our last LOOK.

this is the red one, its for sale! the majority of people viewing the work i share here are local so i just want to make it clear~ if youre interested in purchasing a wig I share, keep in mind if you view it on my website, the price will be different (less expensive) with an in person exchange! Here's why~when i put something for sale online, i have to account for shipping and packaging costs plus the fee thats charged by the platform. When you come into my workshop , those costs are null! Bonus, you receive a salon experience; try the wig on, get it customized if necessary and get some tips from me! I love to have you in my chair xoxo 🌹

I worked a lot of weddings last year, but you wouldn't know it from my posts. Truth is, I was feeling a bit of post fatigue when it came to bridal looks.
But this particular coral haired beauty had an impact on me artistically and creatively. As I was fastening her custom French hood hairpiece, she looked up at me and said, "Catelyn; you should raise your prices."
I was shook by that.
Many people in my life had been saying it for some time and the fact that this person (a mega success in her own right) who had known me only briefly, had taken that moment to give me this advice made me think it's about time I listen.
So , I did it. Which means I'll likely be working less weddings this year, but the ones that I do will be better aligned to the value I provide. and I'll just say..
Take wedding traditions and transform them to elevate you and your partners personal style. What's a wedding if not a chance to be the MOST yourself and live out your fashion fantasies? Have fun! I'll be here to create hair and makeup magic with you 🥂

making magic in human hair for a magnificent person, dear Beywen✨

these wigs started out ash blonde and i customized the color to fit Beywens new era of style. her wardrobe has classically been soft earth tones or all black. however with the current state of things and the coming spring time she is feeling excited to experiment with color, starting with the hair. I cut shape into them to suit fierceness, softness and spirited confidence.
love to all ✨
