Half and Half Vertical Nail Art

To achieve this nail art, simply paint half of nail one color and the other half a different one. Apply a clear coat on top afterwards. It is best to choose two contrasting shades so the colors will pop.

Sunset Ombre Nails

Put base coat on nails then, choose three different colors of nail polish. Apply the darkest color on the lower part of your nails, second in the middle and the third on the top part. Using a triangle sponge, lightly press on the lines between the polishes to create an ombre effect.

Natural Nail Soak

Combine two egg yolks, ¼ cup of milk, two tablespoons of olive oil and one tablespoon of honey and whisk until completely blended. Soak nails for 15 to 20 minutes and repeat twice a week. This soak will lessen brittleness of the nails.

Paint your nails

When you paint your nails, always use a base coat so that your nails are not stained. Using a base coat will also help the nail polish last longer

Protect your cuticles

Use a good quality cuticle cream or oil to prevent the cuticles from roughing out or drying.

File and Trim

When you file your nails, file them in one direction rather than a seesaw action. A seesaw action can separate the layers of the nail and if water finds its way between those nail layers, it can lead to nail peeling. Trim your nails at least once in two weeks or as required.

Curry Leaves and Coconut Oil Hair Mask

Heat 10 to 12 curry leaves in two tablespoons of coconut oil. When the oil comes to a warm temperature, apply and slightly massage on to hair and leave for 15 minutes before rinsing off with shampoo. This will help lessen hair fall and hair damage.

Double Dutch Braids

Double Dutch braids is also known as the Boxer Braids. Start by parting your hair into sections and begin a crossing-under braid. Add bits of hair as you go through sections repeating it until you reach the bottom and repeat it on the other side.

Dainty Dots Nail Design

Apply a base coat, preferably a clear coat. Use the tip of the toothpick to create mini dots on the nails. For more dainty results, it is best to choose a different color combination for each nail.

Hack for the Perfect Polish

Apply some petroleum jelly on the skin around your nails with a cotton swab. Put polish as usual and after it dries, remove the jelly around the nails. Aside from getting a perfect polish, the jelly also moisturizes the skin.
