I got a new sewing machine so I could get busy making some stuff. It's been a minute so there was definitely a re-learning curve that had me in tears more than once. 😭😭😭 But, I persevered and the half dozen well-that's-garbage 🗑️ masks, and my new Advil addiction 💊 notwithstanding (my back is killing me), I've got a few worthy of selling and more on the way.
*The one I'm wearing isn't for sale, it's an earlier incarceration but, it is very similar.
I tried out three different patterns and ended up combining two to make my own 3D creation. It fits really well, stays clear of your mouth and most important WON'T FOG UP YOUR GLASSES!!! 👓

I just cancelled over 70 pre-booked clients. 😳 Many of them prepaid. I'm sick over it.
I'm so happy for everyone who can reopen safely, but I am simply too high risk. I've been having stress dreams, and putting off making a decision is only making things worse. I have no idea when it will be safe for me to see clients again, but I hope it's soon.
If you have an appointment, please check your email. There is a link to my website with instructions for what you can do to move forward. I have a friend I'm happy to refer you to in the mean time and I will miss you all terribly.

This is why I chose not to try to open ASAP. And while I fully support all the protests, I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen in July either. There will undoubtedly be more new COVID cases in the coming weeks as a result of the crowds.
I'm okay. I have no overhead since I work from home, and I am able to collect unemployment, finally, now. I appreciate everyone's concern and support and I will continue to offer products for sale on my website while we wait. Thank you to those who have made purchases, it helps tremendously.
I'm not moving July appointments out just yet, but it could happen. Be forewarned. I won't be reopening the first day we're allowed to, whenever that may be. I will be waiting until after I see how the overall reopening goes in Multnomah county. I'll keep you posted!
