I had a couple of clients email me, inquiring about gift certificates. "Gift certificates? Yes, of course I have some! You can buy one after your session next week!" I did not have any.
Vistaprint is a big, successful company that does not need me to advertise for them. However! They have this thing where for 5 bucks you can tell them what you want and they'll design it for you. 5 BUCKS! "Hi Vistaprint, can you make my gift certificates look just like my business cards?" BOOM! And they were in my hands one week later.
Soooo, who wants to buy a gift certificate?

Sometimes I feel sad that some people have things in their lives that I don't. Sometimes I feel lost. Sometimes I feel that dreaded imposter syndrome. But you see that framed document? I'm going to hang that outside the door to my private practice. That's my board certification. I'm not just licensed, I'm board certified. I did that. I have that. I worked hard and I feel smart. I even feel accomplished. I don't feel as lost as I used to. Though I don't have all the answers, I know what I'm doing.

My partner wrestled with contact paper all by himself to make my massage room sink cabinet nicer, less dated/shabby. I wasn't even there during the struggle! I came to give a massage today and saw the cabinet and said to no one, "Oooooooooh!"

You guys. YOU GUYS. This morning I get a phone call that at first I thought was a scam so I kinda hung up on her. But then James convinced me to call back. I'm glad I did.
I'm going to be on the radio tomorrow. Their research team googled massage therapists in Rhode Island, they liked my website, they asked to interview me about massage therapy as a growing business. FOR REALZ.

Look look!

In my everyday life, I'm sometimes cranky. I glare at bad drivers, I'm sarcastic, you get it. But something about my job...I can't explain it, but you get on my massage table and I become this patient, compassionate person (I wish this zen state would appear whenever I get on the freeway). You want to talk during your session? Let it out, I'm here. A boss once told me that I have a sweet, comforting grandma quality during massages. "Woah...really?" I said.
So anyway, I just wanted to put this out there during Pride month. I feel I have a safe space. I like massaging people. I like people (I actually do! Extrovert over here...). Are you a person? Do you have a body? Any body? Could you use a massage? Ok, done.
