My favorite thing about being a Esthetician is continuing to learn about all the different brands the beauty world has to offer. One of the most important things a Esthetician can do for a client is understand the points difference between each brand. I’ve been a little MIA when it comes to posting. Yes I still do makeup and yes I still love Limelife. Now that we are starting to see some relief to the brutal heat I’m feeling more comfortable putting makeup on again. My skin has definitely been feeling the effects of these record high temps. Dry, flakey, sensitive! So today I gave myself my favorite oxygenating trio treatment. Have you ever actually looked up the meaning of “influence” “influencer”? I have and it got me thinking about how it’s used on social media 👀 When clients ask me about trending products I often encourage them to see for themselves rather it’s the right product for them. I never want to dictate how a person spends their money, or discourage curiosity. I to have been bit by the curiosity bug and influenced by a catchy ad or reel. I do think it’s important in our industry rather we agree with certain products or not that we take the time to understand the points of difference in a product, so we can educate clients, and give honest feedback. Otherwise we become part of the problem when it comes to misinformation in the beauty world. As a licensed professional I took a oath to make sure I am continuing my education, passing on credible information, and sharing safe ways to use products at home to ensure the best results for your skin and beauty routine. I don’t want to influence people to by products or services, I want to educate, give you fun honest content, and help guide you through the changing beauty world. You won’t ever see me share products I don’t whole heartedly believe in. But I do believe there is something for everyone in the beauty world and it’s not just one product or brand!
