Recently, I was asked to fill in for a bridal makeup artist at the very last minute. The full picture was quite grim… the wedding was in four days! This lovely woman- who was paying a fair rate might I add- had been cancelled on four times. The last artist was a friend of mine. She realized that her skill set was not suited to the situation, so she asked me to take over. I was not mad at that at all, she did her best given the situation and I was happy to clear my day.

One phone call with the bride, Jeanne, later, she said, “thank you, I trust you.”

Because of all that she had been through I made sure to check in with her the night before and to arrive half an hour early.

Jeanne and I had an instant connection. I had an amazing time serving her and her family, it’s unfortunate that the previous artists cancelled. The environment was so relaxed and Jeanne and I hugged as soon as we met. It feels a bit selfish but the honest truth is that I enjoyed every minute of this wedding!

Everyone was wonderful to me and my assistant, Julissa. We had a lovely time being in service to this beautiful bride and her wonderful family and friends.
