5 things I DO NOT CARE ABOUT as your massage therapist:

1. Body hair - come smooth, come prickly, come hairy… I do not care!

2. Body appearance - shape, size, tattoos, piercings, stretch marks, cellulite, scars. I do not care!

3. Falling asleep/snoring. Sometimes we need a little nappy nap in a safe environment. It’s actually a compliment.

4. Involuntary bodily noises/movements - your joints pop, stomach growls, leg twitches, etc. I do not care!

5. Chatting or silence - this is YOUR session. You choose the energy, I cater to that. Everyone’s decompression time looks different.

What I DO care about is how you feel leaving my table. I am receptive and always love to hear feedback. Each time you come and visit I want you to leave relaxed, loose and ready to book again!
Thank you for listening.

The cool nights are notorious for helping increase your arthritis flares.
Regular massage is notorious for decreasing those flares.
Something to think about.
A 90 minute Integrated Therapeutic Massage with aromatherapy/therapeutic essential oils, hot stones, and gliding cupping feels FABULOUS!

If you are thinking of trying massage therapy and are unsure about where to go, I encourage you to schedule one. Try several different therapist, different settings, different modalities. After you do that, choose the person who fits with your personality, makes you feel comfortable, makes you feel heard, listened to, respected and helped.
Your massage is your time, your body, your treatment and you should leave very relaxed and feel better the next day. Massage therapy is Healthcare. We are Healthcare Professionals. Massage therapy is preventative healthcare and you should have a consultation with your therapist and a treatment plan.

I wanted to share this post from another Massage Therapy Business in TX to educate. It’s so important to realize the importance of what “Deep” Tissue means. It’s not about how HARD the pressure is. Please understand that a therapist pushing hard and causing the pressure to hurt is not what “works “. That is the biggest false claim in Massage Therapy. Yes there might be a little tenderness and mild discomfort in an active trigger point. There may be mild soreness later that day or even tomorrow depending on your unique situation. But, the fallacy of “it has to hurt to work” is so wrong. It actually could be causing damage to you.
If you want to try a more gentle, healing Deep Tissue Massage, I’d love to help you.

Sometimes “a little more pressure” just isn’t gonna cut it. 😂

Deep tissue massage uses slower, more focused techniques to work into deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue — making it a great option for chronic tension, stubborn knots, restricted movement, and those spots that seem to ALWAYS be tight.

But here’s the thing: deep tissue shouldn’t just mean somebody pushing as hard as humanly possible. Skilled deep tissue work is targeted, intentional, and customized to YOUR body.

And that’s what we do at Soma.

From deep tissue and sports massage to Swedish, cupping, hot stone, craniosacral and more, we offer a HUGE variety of modalities because every body — and every reason for getting a massage — is different.

With 1,300+ five-star Google reviews and multiple Best of Denton wins, there’s a reason Denton trusts Soma. 💙

Whatever you need, we have a therapist here for you.

Book now at www.mysomamassage.com or using the Soma app! 📱
