If you’re running your business in a very professional way that is solving your client’s problem (not having quality lash extensions) then you are worth what you want to charge.

Now let me back it up. I am not saying because you answered no to those questions all of a sudden you’re worth $350 a fill (which, hell, you might be), but I am saying that if you’re charging $45 a fill and want to charge $60- then 100% you’re already worth that.

There are a lotttttt of bad artists out here. And I don’t mean bad like they can’t lash (there are some out there), I mean bad like the girl is always running late or always canceling on her clients. Or the retention just plain sucks.

Clients do not need to know their formula!!!!

Most of my clients don’t know what they have on their face. And they don’t need to to enjoy their lashes. If they ever leave or move, I am happy to provide it for them. But while they’re with me- it does nothing for them.

By you putting the formula in the caption it takes your power away. (Plus confuses clients.)

You don’t have to think at all cause clients just come in TELLING you what to get. Do you do that with your doctor ? Do you do that with your esthetician? Do you do that with your injector ? No!!

You trust their expertise. You go to them becaus they are professionals. Let clients come to you for the exact same reason!

(Sidenote: this is why a lot of lash artists have a hard time figuring out what makes them stand out from other lash girls. They think I’m just a lash girl because they give their power away to the client)

Half the time you don’t know who to turn to, so you turn to your friends. And sadly your friends don’t have answers, but instead of telling you that, they give you bad advice.

“Clients in this area are just dumb. I have to teach them about washing their lashes. I have to teach them when they have to come in for fills…”
This statement was said to me by one of my mentees. The reason for the statement? I had asked her why she thought she was having such a hard time being booked at the new location she had moved to.

Clients can feel and sense this distrust in them that you have. They feel it coming from your content. They see it when you talk bad about them in your stories. They feel it when you make mean Reels picking on them.

If you have hateful feelings and thoughts towards the people that want to give you money so that you can pay your bills, what kind of thoughts and feelings do you think they’ll have about your business??

Relationships, even business ones, are a two way street. People can only meet you where you’re at. If you don’t trust people and think people are out to get you, it is, because you are hard to trust and move in ways that makes people feel like you are out to get them.

“Lo que menos puedes ver, en tu casa lo haz de tener.” That’s a tough pill to swallow, isn’t it?

And while that’s a tough pill to swallow, there is freedom in it. There are no outside forces causing you to be living client to client, there isn’t any magic lash technique that you need to learn, and there is no perfect tweezer that you need to buy. What will help is you changing the way you show up for your clients online & offline.

You can shift from angry, entitled, unworthy, and untrusting to calm, grateful, capable, and trusting. ❤️

When I first started my lash business I used to fantasize about what my life would look like once I started rolling in piles of money. 😂😂

In this fantasy my bank accounts would all have 5 figure numbers in them, I would be immensely happy, people would know me for my talent, and I would be exactly the same (minus the fillers & Botox I would get once I could afford it).

Now that I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum - one end being me crying if a client canceled, because I wouldn’t be able to pay a bill & the other end being me rarely checking my business bank account, because I know there’s enough money in there for what I need & want- I want to give you the takeaways.

Raise your hand if you’ve been been personally victimized by a racist client 🙋🏻‍♀️

Surprisingly, these type of comments don’t bother me one bit! I grew up in the South & as far back as I can remember, Americans have always said some off the wall s**t to me about being Mexican. So by now, I’m used to it.

For me, as long as that card goes through at the end of the service, I don’t give a f**k what type of racist thoughts clients have about me or the people in my community. Their money is green & blue & I will gladly accept it in order to allow my Mexican family to get ahead!

I’ll be damn if I let a couple racist remarks stop me from leaving generational wealth for my son & his kids! & you shouldn’t either! 🗣️🗣️

Your family immigrated here for a bigger purpose!

Be proud of your nationality. Be proud of all you’ve accomplished. Be proud for simply being you. 🇲🇽

That happens VERY often to me with nails. Do I want XL or L? Does she mean one ‘blinged out nail’ per hand or should I schedule two? So I just end up exiting the tab. & never coming back.

Why do you think that it’s so hard to pick something to watch on Netflix? Because when you are given TOO many choices, you’ll often pick NONE!!!

If you offer classic & volume then say that on your menu. No need to be quirky or witty. Make it simple and to the point for all clients!

I was off IG for a full 365 days!! 😱

& Guess what happened to my lash studio? Nothing!!! I still lashed full time. I still made over $8,000 every single month lashing.

So my advice to you is:

🔑 Get comfortable with that unfollow button. If you feel bad cause you’re comparing yourself every time you interact with an account, unfollow that mofcka. Idc if she gives good business tips.

🔑 🚨STOP SCROLLING🚨 It’s so easy to get caught up on nonstop scrolling. But trust me love, it’s just feeding your brain garbage. If you wouldn’t let little you scroll and scroll on a phone for hours, don’t let adult you do it either.

🔑yOu HaVe To ShOw Up EvErYdAy If YoU wAnT tO gRoW yOuR bUsSiNeSs! No you dont. You need a STRONG brand that can hold your business down if you choose to not go online for multiple days.

P.S. I have not mastered how to show up every day authentically on Instagram yet. I would love to be on the other side and tell you how I entered a healthy, monogamous relationship with IG, but I am not there yet. What I do know is that my lash studio has ALWAYS made money, even when me and IG were broken up. & I know I can show you how to do it too!
