To our dear clients and friends:

It is with heavy hearts that we will be closing the doors at Toast for the last time on October 7, 2020.

Pairing losses from closure earlier this year with ongoing requirements for operation, Toast is no longer a going concern.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each of you for your support and loyalty over these twelve years. Over that time, you have come to us in preparation for some of your lives’ most memorable moments, and it has been our joy and privilege to have a small part in those celebrations. Many of you have been a part of the Toast family since the beginning. Truly, words fail to fully explain the fulfillment your love and support has brought to us.

Support isn’t sharing selfies. It’s when you have the ear, and the time, and you stop to listen. It’s in the heart that you use to respond thoughtfully, and the judgment that you use to sometimes not respond at all. Sometimes it’s the coffee you bring by for no reason, but mostly it’s the spirit that made you think of bringing coffee in the first place. Support is a warm hug and the resolve to help sort it all out, whatever “it all” is. Support means you are never alone, in struggle, or in celebration. Women are really awesome at that s**t.

We just got to get downtown to see the amazing art taking over protest-damaged storefronts. It truly feels as though humanity is finding its way through the sidewalk cracks and growing up the buildings. We’re not there just yet, but you can feel it in the air and see it on the surfaces all over Raleigh. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support during this uncertain time. We are closed until 4/15, when we will reassess when, and how, to reopen. If you would like to reserve time after 4/15, the calendar is open to do so, and we will inform you, as soon as possible, if changes are made to our schedule and protocol after this date. || This shutdown will affect all small businesses and their employees, and will likely have a disproportionately depressing effect on mom’n’pop businesses. Please help amplify this message to our N.C. leadership, and continue to pre-purchase goods and services from local small businesses, as you are able. We love you, and hope to see all of you on the other side of this crisis. 💛💛💛
