Pregnancy is not a reason to give up self-care ❤️

One of the most common questions I hear from future moms is:
“Are gel manicures and pedicures safe during pregnancy?” ✨

At this time, there is no scientific evidence showing that professionally performed gel manicures or pedicures using high-quality products are harmful during normal salon use 😊

Gel products work only on the surface of the nail and do not deeply pe*****te the body.
The nail itself is made of hardened keratin and does not actively absorb products.

What truly matters is:
• high-quality professional products
• proper application technique
• good studio ventilation

That’s why I work only with professional systems, including Luxio by Akzentz (Canada) ❤️

Of course, every pregnancy is individual, and if you have specific medical recommendations, it’s always best to follow your doctor’s advice ✨

But overall, modern professional nail care is considered a normal part of comfort, grooming, and self-care during pregnancy 😊

Why I DON’T do soaking pedicures ❤️
And why dry pedicure is considered a more modern approach ✨

Some clients are surprised when they see that I don’t use water tubs during pedicure 👀

But dry pedicure is a more precise, clean, and professional approach ❤️

Why?

• Better precision ✨
On dry skin, it’s easier to see:
— cuticle
— dry areas
— calluses
— pressure zones.

This allows me to work more carefully and avoid over-filing the skin.

• Longer-lasting results ❤️
When the skin is not over-softened by water, feet usually stay smooth and well-maintained longer.

• Better gel polish retention ✨
The natural nail does not absorb water before gel polish application, which helps with:
— better adhesion
— less lifting
— longer wear.

• More clean & hygienic approach 🤍
Many clients see dry pedicure as a more modern and comfortable method.

The goal is not to aggressively remove skin,
but to keep feet healthy, comfortable, and beautifully maintained ❤️

But as a nail and pedicure specialist, I can’t help but notice a troubling habit: women walking barefoot in the shower and locker room. 🚿🦶

Think about it: these floors see dozens, if not hundreds, of people daily, many wearing outdoor shoes. Even if the floors are cleaned, they’re still a risk for fungus, infections, and other issues. ❌🦠

Summer is coming, and we all want beautiful nails 💅 and soft, healthy heels. 👣✨ Why take unnecessary risks? Simply wear flip-flops or slippers in locker rooms, showers, pools, and other public places. It’s an easy way to protect your feet. 💖
