For Pride Month, we'd like to spotlight Main Projects for this Friday’s shoutout, a local art gallery currently presenting two exhibitions.

Signal Boost: New Voices from the VCUarts MFA Program, their second annual exhibition highlighting select artists from Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts.

The Tasting Room, Abbi Kenney's first solo exhibition with Main Projects. Shellfish, fruit, serving platters, family recipes, and decorative motifs accumulate into images that feel lush, theatrical, humorous, and slightly uncanny.

The salon was so lucky to have James from Aveda to teach us Seasonal Blondes yesterday! 🤍 We always take away so much new knowledge when James comes to the salon and we had so much fun creating this fun look together.

This month and always we recognize and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. Who we are and how we identify should always be uplifted. The salon is proud to offer pay what you can gender affirming haircuts and always gender neutral pricing. Happy Pride!

Today we’d like to shout out Branch Museum of Architecture and Design, Virginia’s only dedicated design museum and one of only a few museums dedicated to design in the country, they champion work that shifts perspectives and reimagines design’s role in shaping culture. On Thursday June 4th from 7:30-9:00pm filmmaker Howard Silver will be joining them for a rare screening. Check them and their other exhibitions/events out!
