“If he had been released to Franklin Grove the last time he was incarcerated, things would have turned out better.”

When families speak about the impact of reentry support, they’re speaking from lived experience.

At Franklin Grove, we believe successful reentry starts with more than a release date. It starts with stable housing, accountability, support, and a community committed to helping people rebuild their lives.

Every day, we work alongside residents and their families to create pathways toward lasting success.

From reentry…
to barber school.

From surviving…
to building.

This is what happens when opportunity meets structure.

He now has his own chair and is building his own clientele.

We’re just getting started.

Meet Mr. Kidd.

He brings consistency, compassion, and commitment to Franklin Grove every single day.
Our residents are better because of it.

From goal setting and accountability to support, guidance, and follow-through, he shows up with care, integrity, and purpose.

This is what real reentry support looks like.
This is what creating unexpected joy looks like.

Thank you, Mr. Kidd, for the work you do during every resident’s stay with us. ✊🏿

Two weeks ago, our Franklin Grove community came together at Golden Corral for Thanksgiving. 🧡
More than a meal, it was family, connection, and unexpected joy.

We honor everyone who celebrated with us🤍

Community is healing. Family is chosen.

✨ Franklin Grove Annual Thanksgiving Celebration ✨

Our residents, staff, volunteers, and community partners came together for one of our most meaningful traditions, our Annual Thanksgiving Celebration. 🍁🧡

At Franklin Grove, we know that many of the men and women who arrive at our houses are rebuilding their lives without the comfort of family or a support system. That’s why creating community isn’t just something we do it’s who we are.
This gathering is a reminder that no one walks this journey alone.

We shared food, stories, laughter, and gratitude across all our houses. Seeing residents connect with staff, alumni, volunteers, and supporters showed once again that healing and hope grow stronger in community.

Today, we also pause to honor the members of our Franklin Grove family who once sat at this table with us but are no longer here, especially Mr. Shabaz and Pastor James. Their presence, wisdom, and kindness will always be part of our story. We carry their memory forward as we continue this work.

To every volunteer, supporter, and partner who showed up, you helped create a moment of belonging for people who deserve it more than anyone.
From the bottom of our hearts: thank you. 🧡

Together, we build not just housing, but home.
Together, we build community.
Together, we build Franklin Grove.

Self-love isn’t just a topic in Mr. Juan Braxton’s class — it’s a tool he helps each resident learn how to carry.

Every week, he shows up with presence, power, and purpose. But it’s what he does after the lesson that shows his heart:

He stays.
He listens.
He talks to residents one-on-one.
He shares stories, offers advice, and connects them to real resources they can use.

Because to Mr. Braxton, growth is personal.
And everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and guided.

❤️

It’s one thing to complete the program.
It’s another to return, not because you have to, but because you want to help someone else make it through.

That’s what Mr. Barry did.

He didn’t come back for credit. He came back with purpose… inspiring fellow residents.

This is what growth looks like.

🎓 RUMI Graduation; Class of Spring 2025 🎓

From the opening processional to heartfelt speeches and community cheers, yesterday was a reminder that growth is possible when people feel seen, supported, and believed in.

What made it even more meaningful? The people who showed up. Probation officers, families, volunteers, and fellow residents all there to honor a journey of courage, consistency, and change.

These moments touch families, neighborhoods, and the very soul of our communities.

And yes, the joy was contagious. The food? Unmatched.
The love? Unmistakable.

Here’s to the Class of 2025.
Here’s to second chances that bloom into new beginnings.

A standing ovation for our RUMI Winter Class Graduates!

A few weeks ago, we celebrated a powerful milestone, the graduation of our RUMI Winter Class.

We are so incredibly proud of every resident who completed the program with courage, consistency, and heart.

You showed up for yourselves. You supported one another. And you walked across that stage with purpose.

This is what transformation looks like.
From challenge to commitment. From resilience to results.

Thank you to our volunteer instructors, staff, and community members who poured into this journey.

To our graduates: keep going. We’re behind you every step of the way.
