2 Popular Massage Questions Answered: 1. Do You work with children? 2. Do you have favorite clients? My answer: Yes to both! Recently I ran into an entire family of clients at the grocery store. They surprised me with hugs from all. I’ve worked with everyone from the great grandmother to the great granddaughter. I love working with families. Whether it’s a new mother with a baby in her belly or an athlete who is a son or daughter. Everyone is my favorite including my daughter who agreed to a picture after her massage. She was rocked in a relaxing massage room as I worked until the day she was born. I am always happy to schedule a time for parents to come in with an infant where I can teach special techniques to help babies with relaxation, possible digestive issues and a time to bond with healthy touch. As they grow older with parental consent it is their choice of what the focus is. Parents are encouraged to stay in the same room or stay close by. And just like adults, their privacy is respected, some prefer to stay fully clothed under a blanket. They learn to connect with their breath. Therapeutic massage is an excellent tool for teaching self care and how to manage stress.
