I fell in love with hair before I even knew what passion really was. While other kids were playing with toys, I was sitting in the shop watching my auntie do hair, knowing deep down that’s what I wanted to do too.

I started practicing at 10 years old — braiding, doing my own hair, practicing on my sister, then eventually doing my friends’ hair in high school. After graduation, I took a chance on myself and went to cosmetology school.

There were so many moments I wanted to give up. So many times people told me this wasn’t working and I needed to “get a real job.” But I kept going anyway.

Now here I am, living the same dream little me prayed for. 🥹

To anybody chasing something bigger for themselves — keep going. Even when it’s hard. Even when nobody understands the vision yet. Don’t give up on yourself. 🤍
