Welcome to my new page, all about elderberry syrup! If you’ve made it here, you’ve probably bought elderberry syrup from me before, or maybe you’re interested in trying it for the first time! Here’s a little background about me and how I got here.

I’m Keegan, and I live in Rochester Hills, MI with my husband Nich and our two little girls (ages 3 & 6). I work part time as an RN, and Nich is a high school teacher. We are currently in the process of adopting a precious little boy from India. We hope to travel and bring him home in the next few months - we’re currently stuck in the Indian court system 😫 As you can probably imagine, international adoption is a costly process, so we have worked hard to find ways to bring in extra income to help fund our adoption. Making and selling elderberry syrup out of our home over the last 2+ years has been such a surprising and generous provision from the Lord for our family. Through this endeavor alone, we have raised over $6,000 that has been set aside for official adoption expenses! Praise God!

I never thought that we would make it here, but we are now quite close to reaching our adoption fundraising goal, which includes legal fees and traveling expenses. Up until now, all elderberry proceeds have been tax exempt since they are strictly going towards official adoption expenses. However, we are now at a place where I’d like to start to free up this ongoing income to go towards other “unofficial” adoption & family expenses (medical expenses, therapies, counseling, etc). This shift is mostly happening for tax related reasons, but I also want to be honest going forward about where this money is going, and I’m looking into becoming an official LLC too. The response from our community last year was frankly overwhelming, and I’d love to continue making syrup for those who are interesting in supporting our family in this way! Not to mention, it’s delicious and could help you ward off some nasty sickness this winter!

This page will be a place to follow along with my budding business, perhaps get a few adoption updates along the way, and order more syrup from me as the need arises 🙂 I’m glad you’re here!
