Medical Leave Update!

Hello all!

As many of you now know, I have had multiple medical concerns that have come up throughout the last 6 months which I have been navigating.
One of which is a diagnosis of breast cancer after a Lumpectomy in February.
After putting together all of my factors from other procedures, genetics and family history, I am now scheduled for a Bilateral (Double) Mastectomy this week, May 8th.

I am SUPER grateful everything has been caught early and looks as though things will be fully taken care of surgically! Not only that, but other things have been caught from this that could have been a big problem if not seen, removed early and will be consistently monitored from here on out. We are beyond blessed and thankful!

Also, I want to say thank you for all of the scheduling and re-scheduling grace and understanding throughout these past months. It is not unnoticed and I am TRULY thankful for the continued support.

So now for the all the details for when I’m out healing! Do NOT worry, I wouldn’t leave ya’ll without options for all those needing/wanting to stay on their waxing schedules! The ever so wonderful ladies of The Nitty Gritty, which is kitty-corner and just across from my studio, will be waiting to hear from you all and take great care of you! There is not a thing to worry about in regard to them understanding only seeing you all 1 or 2 times etc. We all have great professional and respectful relationships.

There are 3 great waxers, so getting an appointment within your individual wax needs should be doable! Here are some helpful details on how to get appointments scheduled with them…

Ways to Book Appointments:

with exception of eyebrows.

appointment is for (Brazilian and Bikini wax IS different with scheduling, please
be sure to clarify) along with if you would like to have soft wax (which is with the
strip just like I do).

Julia:

-Does all waxing and will be my first recommendation for your brow wax gal.

Audra:
-Been trained up directly by Cidy within the past few years, so she is a great choice as well!

Hello All!

I have been wanting to send out an email for a little while now, but am only now getting the chance!

THANK YOU all for the support of Yür Skin & Wax Bar…I aim to bring you the best skin care in the industry. I love the privilege to work with such amazing clientele in an industry that I have such a passion for. I am BEYOND thankful for you all…

The need of this email was really to convey that My family and myself are walking through a difficult season. While I know that my family is incredibly blessed, the journey we are currently on is a challenging one. For at least through the year end, I will be requiring more flexibility with my time. How this translates for you could (possibly) manifest in a last minute cancellation/reschedule. Please know that I don't cancel appointments lightly, but if I have to cancel then it was due to circumstances outside of my control. My VA (Virtual Assistant), Kate, will be notifying you of any changes in schedule as she is made aware of them. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to her on our designated business line (585-294-1345) and in turn she will get answers from me as I am able to provide them. Moving forward, I'm confident that "this too shall pass" and the obligations on my time will ease up as things are figured out. Until that time, I am truly thankful for you all being gracious and patient with us.

The above before photo featured here was taken at the very start of this lovely ladies’ series—customized to treating her hormonal acne and residual scaring/pigmentation.

The after photo is 5 weeks out from her third treatment. 😍

We have only just begun to see the full results!!! We will keep you posted on the progress…

Here are some answers to questions we have gotten:

⚜️Who can do this treatment? Just about ANYONE!

⚜️Will I need to prepare for downtime? Not really…Very minimal downtime (flushed skin for about 8-12 hours at most) and minimal aftercare.

⚜️Will it be uncomfortable? This is not a painful treatment with very minimal discomfort.

⚜️What is the treatment for? This treatment helps to correct a multitude of issues due to what is happening within the skin:

•Detoxifying—remember, toxic skin equals aging, problematic skin!

•Skin tightening/wrinkle reduction

•Lightening/correcting pigmentation and sunspots

•Large pores and enlarged capillaries (small blood vessels)

All of these benefits come from the tiny Micro-needles (Microcrystalline Organic mineral material that form into a hollow “needle”) which we push into the skin to create millions of channels, bring targeted ingredients to the lower epidermis. These microscopic “needles” stimulate our skins natural response to “heal” itself by stimulating our fibroblasts which in turn produce more collagen within the dermis, new blood vessels along with the “pushing” of new skin cells to the surface. Now…something that is also VERY important to the process is the care we give our skin during it! During treatment is when we customize how we treat YÜR skin with targeted serums to generate HEALTHY collagen production!

We are trying our best to keep up with getting those back on schedule once they are healthy.

When we have open spacing in a day we have a “trickle down” effect in availability, so we try to fill these gaps due to our already tight schedules.

If you do get a text or call, DO NOT feel obligated to move or switch your time! It is only to see if anyone could use the spot available or they have flexibility, or it would work better for them as well etc.

For the other late cancellations that have been happening, we really don’t want to, but we will have to put into effect a cancellation fee.
