Color Correction on a 10 year old…
(Brassy, yellow, over processed, muddy, spotty TO natural micro tones to ensure a healthy grow out and deliver confidence! SO PRETTY!)
and this…👇👇👇

***It's not safe to dye or bleach a child's hair until after puberty, and ideally not until their late teens - at least 16. Children tend to have much finer hair than adults, and since hair dye and bleach can be damaging, a child's immature hair is much more susceptible to damage. Because kids' hair goes through so many changes from birth to puberty, their hair - and skin, for that matter - are more sensitive and therefore more likely to experience reactions.

These reactions can be caused by the actual contents of the hair products. The chemicals are too harsh for children’s hair and can damage their hair and scalp- these hair products are for adults only. Ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, and a chemical known as paraphenylenediamine that's commonly used in permanent hair dye can cause very bad reactions. Plus, these chemicals can alter the texture of your child's hair, so even if you just meant to change the color, you could wind up messing with its entire appearance or end up in the emergency room… The primary medical complication from hair dyes seen in children is an allergic type contact reaction, almost like the reaction you can get from poison ivy, it can cause an itchy, red rash in the area where the hair dye contacts the skin - also to mention the sensitivity of children’s scalps experiencing scalp burn.***

PLEASE NOTE: If your child is asking for color on their hair - please seek the advice of an educated and trained professional first. A professional can provide many safe color services for children - natural sun kissed effects around the framing of the face and ensure the integrity of the hair and scalp are not compromised. There are safe at home options for children too - ALWAYS do a patch test first, NEVER do on scalp application, use temporary or semi permanent dyes, use hair chalk, NEVER kool aid color (very damaging), clip in colors… if anyone ever suggests coloring or bleaching your child’s whole head… be wary, this indicates clearly little thought process of what is appropriate and safe for your child.

ALSO- seeking a professional out first if you decide to allow a child to put color on their hair - saves the child from hours of sitting in the stylist chair and you $$$… it takes ALOT of time, product and is costly!!!

I love the BADASS Annie Lennox vibe.
🙌🏻❤️💯😎

At the beginning of my career while still in school I had wanted to specialize in short haircut styles. I absolutely LOVE shaping and creating these short hairstyles! I am so passionate about creating art and love providing all hair services being behind the chair - but the short/pixie, edgy, raw, disheveled, feminine sexy haircuts I get pretty excited about! 😁😎❤️

Um no… f$%* that guy and give your crown some TLC! (This goes for parents that won’t cut or have their young girls get in for professional haircuts also, and no… kitchen haircuts don’t count.) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Our crowns take professional care, professional attention and professional technique. So much to say here… and I know fellow artists feel the same about all of this. 💯

We all know someone… 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️😬

I have at least one client a day ask me this question? Why am I shedding so much more than I normally do? Am I losing my hair?

✨We shed about 50-100 hairs per day!!! If you are not washing every day or every other...you will have more in your drain and brush. Your hair won’t naturally shed as much as it needs to especially when it’s past chin length. Yes your vacuum may be filled but it would be worse if your hair shedded all on its own not needing to be combed. So at your next shower don’t freak out when there is a bunch of hair. (Longer hair always looks like more!)

✨Shed season...if you have asked me about your shedding I will bring this up. We will shed more hair during seasons just like any other animal that has hair. Most people will have a lot of shedding spring and fall.

✨Covid…3-4 months after getting it many people have reported a major shedding and fall out. Whatever we put into our body OR are body is going through will show on our scalp and nails!

✨Scalp health is sooooooooo important. If you have product buildup from not washing enough, you will clog follicles and have an itchy scalp. There are scalp scrubs and scalp shampoos. I always say to keep one and use it when you feel itchy or off.

✨STRESS!!!! It’s 2023 aka the year filled with a ton of stress. You will add to your seasonal and daily shed with stress. Then you will feel like your kissing all of your hair. So just breath and know that your hair has growth cycles and as long as your not getting bald spots...you will be fine. Don’t give yourself something else to stress about.

✨Hormones are another big factor. Each phase of life our hormones change. Pregnant or menopause will also play big roles. Genetics always play a big role in how are body is changing also.
