Studio 22 Salon and Spa

Before I begin sharing our team awards, I’d like to share a brief summary of my journey in hairdressing, what this career has meant to me, and what owning my own business has meant over the years. If you want the full story, it’s in this months news letter.
Hairdressing, for me, was never just about doing hair, even before I owned my own business.
When I opened my salon 14 years ago, it was a dream come true. My dream wasn’t about getting rich or making money off others. That was never part of the plan or my intention. My goal was simple: to build a future for my son, create a comfortable life, give back to my community, and provide a place where stylists could grow, build a clientele, and earn a livable wage.
Today, I can proudly say I’ve achieved that and so much more.
Through all the ebbs and flows of owning a business, what I didn’t realize at the time was that God was preparing me for something greater.

God didn’t just give me a business, He gave me a ministry.

Over the years, He has placed women in my chair carrying stories, burdens, heartbreak, insecurities, and health battles. Through my hands, He has allowed me to pour into them. What looked like a simple hair appointment often became something much deeper.
I’ve seen tears fall in that chair.
I’ve felt heaviness lift.
I’ve watched women walk through my doors unsure of themselves and leave standing taller, lighter, and more confident.
Because it was never just about doing hair.
It was about creating a safe space where people feel seen, heard, valued, and restored. It’s a place where God meets them exactly where they are, without pressure, without performance, simply through His presence.
I do not take that responsibility lightly.
Looking back, I now understand that every sacrifice, every challenge, and every season of uncertainty was worth it. *This was always part of God’s plan.*
This was always my assignment:
To serve.
To encourage.
To pour into others.
To pray over them.
I ask God to continue blessing my hands so that I can continue doing His work through them.
My mission has never been just to do hair. It has always been to help people feel seen, valued, heard, and cared for.
As I always say, if my doors weee to close today, I feel complete.
As we move forward, our commitment remains stronger than ever. We will continue to do our best serving you.

As a newly established organization, Champ’s Pittie Network relies entirely on donations, volunteers, and community support to continue its mission.

Nicole serves as a dedicated social worker at Rochester General Hospital, where her compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment, have made a meaningful impact on countless patients, families, and colleagues. Nicole has spent her life supporting others through difficult times, offering strength, comfort, and hope when it was needed most. Now, it’s our turn to support her.

Summary:
Nicole was recently diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Since receiving her diagnosis, she has already undergone numerous medical appointments, diagnostic tests, and invasive procedures.

A cancer diagnosis is life-changing, bringing not only physical and emotional challenges, but also significant financial strain. As Nicole focuses on treatment and recovery, the mounting cost of medical care and everyday expenses, create an added burden during an already overwhelming time.

I am asking for your support to help ease this financial stress so Nicole can focus on what matters most– her health and being present for her two daughters, Sophia and Davina, who need their mother now more than ever. All donations will go directly toward medical expenses and related costs associated with her treatment and care.

Monday’s momentum and fun facts!

Fun fact: This was our very first customer when we opened Studio 22 Salon and Spa!

My husband was up on a ladder hanging our sign up when Elizabeth stopped to ask about all the details of the salon and when we were opening. He took down her information, and I called her back to schedule what became our very first walk-in client outside of my already existing customers.

It’s amazing how one simple moment turned into such a special memory and the beginning of so many wonderful relationships we’ve built through the years. 💕
