As per Gov. Abbott’s newest executive order, you will be REQUIRED to wear a face mask covering your mouth and nose to your next hair appointment. Not just to enter the building but also for your service.

Please remember that during your service, there is a risk for hair slivers and/or hair color to end up on your mask. There is also the potential of your mask getting cut during your service (yes, this HAS in fact happened) While I have gotten much better at working around masks, I cannot claim perfection by any stretch of the imagination. PLEASE do not wear your best/favorite mask 😷

The salon is still requiring all guests to wait in your vehicle and message/call when you arrive for your appointment. I will let you know when I am ready and will meet you at the door closest to Leslie’s Pools to walk you in.

I am still working hard and diligently cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces in the salon after every appointment. I am doing everything possible to keep you all safe ❤️

If you are not willing/comfortable with this, I understand. Please reach out to me directly or go to my website to reschedule your upcoming appointment. I will be following and enforcing this rule. It is my goal to do whatever is required to be able to continue working and keep the salon doors open.

Welcome to July 🙄 🤣

It's finally opening time. Governor Abbott has announced the opening of salons beginning tomorrow 5/8/2020. I am so excited to be behind the chair again and to see all of you!!

I have been given the new rules, regulations and suggestions. I have compiled everything to hopefully help all of us navigate this new normal in the salon.

ARRIVAL:
Upon arriving at the salon, please remain in your vehicle and call/text to let me know you have arrived. The salon doors will be locked from the outside . I will let you know when I have everything sanitized and ready for your appointment. I will meet you at the door and let you in. Per the landlord, EVERYONE is required to wear a mask or face covering over your nose and mouth when entering and exiting the building and in the hallways. My phone number is 469-734-4020

DURING YOUR SERVICE:
Once you enter my mini-salon, you will be asked to read through a checklist and agree that you can hoonestly answer no th the questions asked. If you cannot answer no, we will need to reschedule your appointment.
I am going to leave it to your discretion if you wear a mask during your hair service. If you choose to wear a mask, please be mindful of a few things. Your mask cannot tie in the back, it needs to loop around your ears. If you wear a mask, you do run the risk of getting haircolor and hair slivers on your mask. I cannot help this. I do have disposable masks available for purchase for $2 if you would like.
I WILL BE WEARING A MASK FOR ALL SERVICES.

SHAMPOOING AND BLOWDRYING:
I will still be providing full services including shampooing and blowdrying. These are the services that do generally have the highest risk. If you do not want you participate in these services, that is perfectly okay. If you choose to skip the shampooing, please come to the salon with clean damp hair. There will not be an adjustment on service cost for skipping these services.

I have adjusted appointment times to allow extra time for proper sanitation in between guests and since ther will be no waiting chairs inside the salon. I have brought in extra cleaning and sanitiation products and have ordered an air filter that is designed to rid of bacteria and viruses the the room. I will be following all protocols and doing my part to keep everyone safe. I appreciate you all so much and cannot wait for tomorrow.

Please be patient with me as I try to find my new groove back in the salon. I will do my absolute very best to be running on time and for things to go smoothly. If i hit a few bumps along the way, please be patient with me. This is the longest I have ever been off work in my 15 year career, and this a whole new environment for us all.

IF YOU WAKE UP THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT ANDYOU OR ANYONE IS YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAVE A FEVER, COUGH, SORE THROAT, ETC. PLEASE CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT ASAP. I WILL WORK WITH YOU TO GET YOU RESCHEDULED ASAP ONCE SYMPTOMS SUBSIDE.

Governor Abbot just announced salons are able to open THIS Friday May 8th. I am actively working to reach out to everyone on my list, but in the interim, feel free to use the app and schedule yourself as well. All appointment times have been extended by 15 minutes to allow for proper time to sanitize and prepare. I will come back here tomorrow or Thursday and give an update with the new policies and procedures nice TDLR releases them to us. Please be patient as I try to put together return messages and reach out to everyone. Thank you and I can’t wait to see everyone!! ❤️❤️❤️

Just a heads up... TOMORROW, Gov. Abbott should hopefully be announcing an opening date for salons in Texas 👏 I will begin rebooking all appointments I had to cance during the shut down. By Wednesday, I will be opening my online scheduling for everyone ❤️ Once we are given dates and guidelines for new procedures from the Governor, Rockwall County and from TDLR (the people who hold my license and make the rules) I will come here via video and let you all know what things are going to look like. I can’t wait to get back behind the chair and see you all ❤️❤️ thank you all for your patience during this all

Y’all! This is one of my absolute favorite pictures of me. In my element, with my people (hello, team CP 😘). Talking and teaching. I miss this. I miss doing hair. I miss sharing my passion and what I know with others. I miss learning from others. Hairdressing is definitely a part of who I am. I miss human the type of human interaction I get behind the chair. I am so grateful to this industry for the amazing amount of education at my finger tips during quarantine. ❤️

With all of these Zoom meetings, I thought it's time to reshare this quick bang tip. Simply styling and refreshing your bangs is a great way to step it up and look fresh 😎 rewet the hair with a quality love-in like PurRelease, add some LiftIt Root Boost and an intentional blow dry to finish your look

Hi friends! As some of you may know or have guessed, I will be closing the salon tomorrow until further notice to comply with CDC recommendations to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
I work in an industry where there is a constant revolving door of people around and there is no way to maintain a 6 foot distance and be able to do hair. Despite all cleaning effort, this is the right move to make. I am hoping to reopen April 4th but that is to be determined (we’ll see where things are at that point with restrictions). I hope you all are staying safe and helping to do your part.
A few points:

1. I will be reaching out to everyone who has appointments in the next 2 weeks to reschedule. Please be patient with me. You know I hate using my phone to actually communicate with people 😂

2. Do not get the kitchen scissor 💇‍♀️ out. Period. This will be a you break it, you buy type situation. I am not making house calls to fix a bad idea.

3. Your friend down the street is not a professional... especially after a few glasses of wine.

4. Remember orange is NOT a good hair color on anyone. It’s not worth the risk. No at home hair coloring.

5. DO NOT decide this is the time to try your hairdressing skills on your kid. Don’t let this be the haircut they tell hairdressers about for the next 30 years.

6. Use this time to deep condition and give your hair a break. No one is going to see you.

I love you all and am heart broken to not be seeing any of you over the next few weeks. This has been a very tough situation on us all. I’ll see you on the other side of Covid-19. 😉.

*** #2,3,4 & 5 are all situations I have dealt with before. You know who you are that made me post these. 😂

When the sun shine hit that violet red just right 🤩 I love when I come up with an idea for someone, and she goes for it! Thank you for trusting my vision on this one ❤️
