Major color correction today! This lovely client came in and had just applied dark brown box dye, a couple days prior. Our goal was to lighten her to a light brown. The problem we ran into, when lifting, was banding (or a horizontal, uneven band of color).

This happens when you apply new hair color to your fresh regrowth and over the old color through your ends, it adds another layer of color over the hair. This creates horizontal bands of color through your Hair from your previous colors.

I'm happy I was able to correct the band, giving her a lighter look, and put a smile on her face 😊
