DONT LAUGH!! …. But these were some of the names we wrote down on a piece of napkin in May 2024!!!!
It starts there. Thinking of something. Then Wanting it. Planning for it. Taking little tiny steps such as brainstorming on a piece of napkin lol. Then, comes the work most aren’t willing to do. Not because they are not capable, but because it requires a lot of work and humility.
What we thought would launch in 90 days. Launched 12 months later (May of 2025) Now we are celebrating our first year anniversary and first ever graduating class of that “piece of napkin” idea. 😭
I might be tearing up a bit writing this. Above all, it’s a BLESSING to give these students an opportunity to build a career in the industry my family has been part of for 3 generations now. It’s given us an amazing life, huge life experiences and opportunities, and strong relationships in our community.
Much much success to you all! This is where it all starts.
All I can say is ALL businesses have ups and downs. Moments to build, moments of faith, and moments to enjoy it and take it all in ….

The first year is always the hardest and it is
A year where you can make mistakes
A year where you’re doing something for the FIRST TIME
A year where you are learning as you go
A year of hustle, tears (off camera) 🤪, frustration, stress
A year of huge milestones and history-making
A year of a whole new client base & student relationships
A year of figuring it out on a daily basis
It’s not easy. But we were never looking for easy 🔥🔥
Most people never materialize a thought or a dream because they wait for everything to be perfect or laid out in front of them. With that mentality you will never create what you want in life. Go in 100%. Be okay and open to Make mistakes. Take the good and the bad. Once you survive that and life through it … then you become unstoppable 🚀🚀 LG YEAR 2
Note: we don’t license barbers , we are a state approved school that offers 1,000 hour barber program & prepare you for the state exams. (The state of Texas licenses all barbers who pass the exams) I was too excited 😅😂

Talking about your business (even if it’s the early stages), can greatly impact your and help grow your business.
Be you. Don’t aim for perfection. Keep it simple. Be proud of where you are in your business journey AND most importantly don’t care about what others may think. Some people will ALWAYS find a way to criticize others but that speaks more about them than you. So don’t take anything personal and focus on your business

This is actually insane.
March 2019- Married and first time mom to my 4 month old. Currently in Brazil to pursue my career in Microblading. Pure innocence. Thought I would live happily ever after & life was good . . .
Many lifetimes later … deaths & rebirths.
March 2026- 2 kids, doing life as a single mom, 900+ Microblading clients later, only God knew this industry could save me & carry me through tough times, went back to barbering to open my family’s school & become an instructor. Wiser, completely different woman. Hardly recognize my old self.
I thank Laura from 2019 for her optimism, for not being afraid and the way she took risks im full faith. . . . but the 2026 version … she’s a force to be reckoned with. ❤️✝️
This is my forever battle for wanting to home school my kids all the way. It’s truly a battle! This spring break was amazing, no work, no schedules, no bedtime, no alarms, and all the free time. Is this what life as a mom meant to be, to just enjoy and have all the energy to educate and raise your kids freely?
Anywho, if u homeschool I want to know all the details… what has been your experience ? 🙏🏼 help a mom out lol
