This lady needed some highlights and some thinning for her curly hair. ➿➰✂️
She was also the one that was using Pantene, so we clarified her 2x,and deep conditioned after lifting.
We did a cut, but her previous cut was a little uneven so we trimmed what we could and told her to come see me in 3 to 6 months when she's grown out a bit and we can trim some more.

She was happy her hair was more manageable and softer, and I recommended some products for her for her curly hair!

A subtle in the shade but loud in the light lowlights, ❤️‍🔥for this pretty lady.
She wanted pinkish purple, she picked out her color, and wow was this gorgeous! 😍💖💜
We used
Koleston Perfect 33/66 with 0/65 and used a balayage method for this young lady!

So I just want to say that this person was using Pantene Pro V shampoo and conditioner. Now I actually have this experience of what the last picture and story below describes! 👀

The foils were literally dripping liquid out of them when I was trying to move them to check them. I had to reapply on every single foil and it took forever for the plastics to melt off of her hair for me to get her to lift.🫠🫕 😱

Most people think hairdressers suggest good shampoo to make extra money off their clients. However, THIS is proof how bad build up can get on the hair!

I was lightening a woman’s hair yesterday and noticed how resistant it was to lighten, and this I realized why. What u see at the bottom of this processing cap is buildup literally melting off the hair! The ingredients in certain shampoos are basically coating your hair with plastic. It may feel “silky smooth” at first, but after a while you get so much buildup your hair dies from the inside out, because it can’t get any moisture through the layer of coating.

Makes you think twice before grabbing that Pantene off the shelf next time 😉

Side note: everyone wondering what’s a good shampoo; your main focus is to look for products without silicone, sulfates, or parabens.

Such great news to share! As of the 12th of September I will be working at Salon Rogue @ 508 Douglas Blvd in Roseville! This change is going to be such a exciting and scary, but so worth it.
