Dear Valued Clients,
Thank you again for your support and understanding over the past 10 weeks. I appreciate you being patient with me as I have been working hard to adjust to our new guidelines. I am so excited to see you as I have missed all of you.
I plan to re-open on Wednesday, June 3rd. My schedule may look differently since I will not have child care at home for the kids. I also will be scheduling 30 minutes in between each client to sanitize everything. Therefore I will not be able to see as many clients as I normally would be able.
For the safety of my clients, myself and my family, I will be doing the best I can to provide a safe environment for you. The guidelines below have been prescribed by the State of Ca, the CDC and Board of Cosmetology, and will be followed:
Face coverings: It is required that I wear face coverings while at work. It will also be mandatory for guests to wear a face covering when entering the salon. Those that secure behind the ears will be required, as I can not work on your hair with masks tied around the head. I understand this is uncomfortable for some, however this requirement is meant to keep both you and I safe. Should you not have/forget your mask, a disposable one will be provided to you.
Limited Guests/Personal belongings: As much as I miss our salon gatherings, for now, I ask that no children, friends or family accompany you. This is to keep the number of people in the salons within social distancing guidelines. Also, please limit your personal belongings to as minimal as possible.
Social/Distancing/Check-in/Waiting area: This will limit the number of people in the salon. For the time being, our Salon has closed down our waiting room. Please wait in your car for me and I will text or call you when I am ready. Once the Salon is ready and my station is fully sanitized, I will greet you at the door. My Salon door will remain open, and there will be hand sanitizer set inside the door for you to use when you enter and leave.
Beverages & magazines: I am temporarily suspending offering any beverages (IE coffee, water, tea). You are welcome to bring your own beverage to keep at the station. In addition, I will not be providing magazines in the Salon.
Confirmation/Waiver: Before your appointment is considered โconfirmedโ, you will need to complete the COVID-19 questionnaire/waiver sent to your email 24-48 hours before your scheduled visit. Please email back to me before your scheduled appointment.
Cancellations/no shows: Due to the significant amount of clients I am trying to accommodate, I will be enforcing my cancellation policy. My cancellation policy is normally 50% of your appointment fee. Until further notice my cancellation policy will be: If cancelled under the 24 hour period, you will be charged 100 % of the appointment cost. Cients who call and cancel due to illness or potential COVID-19 exposure, will have their cancellation fees fully waived.
Lastly and most importantly, if you are sick, have been recently sick, or quarantined with someone else who is sick, please do NOT come to the salon. I will be happy to reschedule your appointment at a time that follows CDC recommendations. I will also be holding myself accountable to the same standards.
During this time of quarantine, I chose to take a course to brush up on disinfection/sanitation protocols. I passed the test and received a Barbicide Covid-19 Certification. Sanitation and Disinfection are important industry requirements that are taken very seriously. Due to the nature of this situation, I will increase the sanitation of high touch areas. In addition, my station and shampoo bowl will be fully sanitized after each and every client. And as always, all drapes and towels will be washed between clients and all implements/ tools will be sanitized with medical grade disinfectant.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to keep everyone safe; and for partnering with me on all CDC guidelines so that small businesses, like mine, can remain open. I know my clients are anxious to confirm their appointments. I am just as excited as you! Please give me time to reach out to each of you. I am working as fast as I can to do so. I am going through my list in the order of when we had to cancel your appointment.
