Rx Massage

Last year was admittedly a rough year and I think our clients felt it. It started with the loss of two of our favorite therapists due to relocation which snowballed into a series of hiring therapists who weren’t a good fit. We tried new things like hiring a receptionist only to find that we didn’t have enough work for her, to hiring an admin who we later promoted to manager and learning that we didn’t have the resources to properly train for a management position. I started a new business with my husband and stepped out for a long construction project which further affected the decline of Rx. In November, the labor board ruled in favor of a former employee and we were hit with a $70,000 bill while at the same time two of our busiest therapists left to start their own practice. Last year I learned how hard running a business really is while also learning how resilient I truly am. This year will be spent picking up the pieces of last year’s events. We have some really great humans at Rx Massage and we’ve found more to join us. I’m feeling excited about the future of the company and I hope our clients are too. We got some fun Halloween decorations to make our lobby more fun 🎃

We purchased a couple pregnancy pillows so that our expecting mamas could lay face down for their massages. So far they are a hit amongst clients and therapists alike.

If you haven’t been to our new location you wouldn’t know that the rooms on the left weren’t there two weeks ago. We’re so excited that our construction is done and that we have more availability than ever 🎉

I’ve started incorporating more stretching into my chair massages and that yoga wheel is one of my favorite tools.

If you already use Rocktape then Rocksauce Ice and Fire are definitely worth trying. Both have menthol which help ease discomfort and both can be used with Rocktape without affecting the stickiness of the tape.

Who else uses a massage gun? We like the theragun and haven’t ventured out to other brands.

We’ve been doing a ton of corporate chair massage events lately and we love it. It’s nice to get out of our office and into yours.

Rx Massage is looking for massage therapists who are interested in working for a business where pain relief and overall wellness is the goal for our clients. At Rx Massage therapists have access to their schedule 24/7, are in direct contact with their clients, have flexible schedules, learn from other therapists, and can work up to $35/hr +tips. Our company also offers mobile services to our clients and therapists receive $100/hr for these services. Mobile clients are screened before booking as a safety precaution.

We are a close-knit team of massage therapists who look out for each other and we are looking to add more like-minded therapists to our practice. Experience is not necessary, all that we ask is that you come with a desire to learn and grow during your time with us.
