ATL SWIM WEEK 💗
Curated Hair was invited to work the first ever Atlanta Swim Week. Still so many posts to come from this amazing night and opportunity and I can’t wait to share all the beautiful looks I created for the models. I have always wanted to work behind-the-scenes at a fashion show and I can officially check that off the bucket list however I still have one more yet to attend New York fashion week.

MY TIME .hairdressers WAS FOR ME TO FIND MY PASSION AND PURPOSE BEHIND THE CHAIR, GET THE BEST OF THE BEST EDUCATION TO BRING BACK TO MY CLIENTS. ALL WHILE WORKING ALONG SIDE SOME OF THE KINDEST PEOPLE.

TO CURATE MEANS TO BE CAREFULLY CHOSEN AND SELECTED. THAT IS HOW I VIEW MY CLIENTS ALL BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE IN YOUR VERY OWN WAY.

Did you even go out if you didn’t get a bathroom mirror pic ?

I wanna show of this mane for a second, when we initially did her custom color looking back at the photos I felt something was off. I invited her back in with a text explaining what I felt and she was down to come back in and let me correct it. When I tell you as a hairstylist we can definitely fixate on things and I would have not been content with my service had she not come back. I think when you speak to your client in a way that lets them know that you are correct is something that you’re not OK with it almost gives them that extra trust in you that you would not let them leave if you are not 100% fully satisfied with the way that their hair turned out.
Anyone else this way?

A lot of times we see a clients inspiration photo and are unsure of what steps to take to truly give them there goal. Some things to always remember break it down into steps. I can get super overwhelmed if I try to think about the end goal.

The idea of High school sounds fun again. If I had a redo I would only attend 1 school not 3 😅

When I started out doing hair balayage was not a service provided at the 1st salon I was ever worked at. They actually told me I couldn’t offer it as a service because they didn’t know how to price for it. Of course I didn’t let that stop me. I received so much push back from the owners that eventually they had to list it as a service because I refused to stop offering it to my clients.
I adopted a clientele of bobs and partial highlights that I was grateful for but lacked creativity for me. I went off on my own shortly after that and built my entire buisness off of a technique I learned from watching a YouTube video.
Since then I have branched out into many things but coloring hair is still my one true passion.
