Those of you who know me, know I’m a sponge when it comes to learning and growing. And as of lately, one key factor that has been repeatedly brought up was FOCUS. Stayin on a path, honing in on one task at a time, and giving your all to that one thing until it’s achieved. Not always easy, but the results speak for themselves.

Being surrounded by so many talented barbers and not just seeing them cut but listening to their mindsets, experiences, and visions always fuels my fire to continue to grow and be a better barber. Not only for myself but for my clients as well !

Different Views 👀

I love having people come in and take photos while I work and capture raw moments of myself in the zone ! So the past couple weeks I’ve been working with different photographers and artists so who have a lot more experience with photography than I do to come to the studio and capture moments ! It’s a way to help one another network and expand our reaches to one another’s audiences while working in a creative environment and capturing DIFFERENT LOOKS for my content.

So far it’s been a dope experience ! And I’m looking for more photographers and videographers to work with ! TAG ANYONE YOU KNOW WITH A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA OR EVEN A GOOD IPHONE WHO WANTS TO COLLAB, NETWORK, and WORK !

I’ve been blessed to have witnessed miracles happen right before my eyes countless amounts of times over the past 6 years on a journey that many of you know about. Watching someone’s life change is an experience like nothing else. This man is one of those miracles. Never in the 6 years of knowing each other would I have imagined we’d be in Mexico celebrating your marriage ! It was a privilege and honor to clean you up for your special day and be apart of this beautiful experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Glad to call you a brother on this journey and to watch you grow into the man God intended you to be. Love ya bub

I’ve been getting a lot of static from co-workers about not taking pictures of some of my work 😂. Personally at times I feel as if it’s not “instagram worthy” or up to my “standards” but I have to constantly remind myself that it’s not always about ME and at the end of the day it’s how the client feels when they leave the chair !

Aesthetically pleasing.
To me there is nothing more comforting to the eye that an overall well balanced haircut. With different techniques and looks, such as deep fading a beard or texture cutting the top of the hair, you can provide a client with a look that best suits their facial features, day to day lifestyle, and their total appearance. As of lately I’ve been focusing more and more on the “total package” rather just simply giving a typical “haircut” .

I can remember a time when I didn’t think barbering was for me. My first shop I worked in, I worked for 2 months and didn’t see progress ( because I wasn’t fully committed and wanted things handed to me ) I almost gave up. At one point my own mother told me that she didn’t think being a barber was a good idea. A little over 6 years of being licensed, hundreds of hours behind the chair, a mentality of being willing to continue to learn and grow, and you get the man you see in the picture today. Moral of the story is when the world has you backed in a corner and you don’t think you can get out.. FIGHT your way out ! And never give up on yourself. Set goals, take action, define odds, make it happen 💪🏽.
